You have no experience with fast charging, thus you don't trust it, which is all fine, but don't even try to tell me that I'm wrong, when I have already experienced the opposite of it.

    The key word is "trust".

    I don't trust "them" enough to use "their" non-standardised and not certifited methods for charging.

    You mentioned facts. Where are the facts here? Nowhere. Just opinions. Opinions of a very different type of users. Can you accept that? Or you will try to "correct" some people opinions because they don't think the same as you? Don't. Just my suggestion tho. I can't and won't tell you what to do. That's up to you. Only you. Same thing vice versa.

        There are however 5 phones that have faster than 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Ultra, the Honor Magic 3 Pro, Magic 3 Pro+ and the Magic 4 Pro.

        They were launched before the ruling came into effect on january 1, 2022 (except the Magic 4 Pro*), but no company out there is allowed to go above 50W, ANYMORE**, but this seems to be changing with a new ruling, that will come into affect on September 1 2024, with the maximum wireless charging speeds being increased to 80W.

        *They somehow broke this regulation.
        **Technically they could do it, but then the phone wouldn't be allowed to be sold in China, or imported to China, and I doubt any chinese brand would want that or that Apple/Google/Samsung/HTC/Sony/Nokia would suddenly jump to 50W+ wireless charging.

              Belief is one thing, I have my own personal experience with it.

              I had my iQOO 5 Pro for almost 3 years at this point, which was my only main phone for 2 of those years, I wasn't always constantly switching phones, that's a recent thing. I always charged that phone with the original 120W charger that it came with, and used it with max everything. Still gets 5-6 hours of SOT and still doesn't get hot. Not to mention that, the iQOO 5 Pro was the first ever phone to go above 100W charging and already there was never anything wrong with it, this technology has only improved since then.

Because there's not official third party testers or certification about their claims. We only have what companies said. That's basicly just an add. Why do you think all those certificates exist in the first place? All companies have them for a good reason.

                  So, I'm really waiting you to answer that. Why do companies pay for certifications at all? They could just say, hey we got this and this, don't worry because we said so. No, that's not how it goes.

                  And why all companies that offer a faster charger then 65W are having a certificate about battery saftey and not on the battery longevity impact? Why would they bother to pay up for something like the battery saftey?

                  I mean, thanks for letting me know the battery won't explode when charging, but that was kinda common sense as company need people to be alive to buy their stuff lol....So that certification is worthless.

                  What would help people to trust it more is certification of exactly that. Impact on the battery longevity when using a ultra fast charging. That's all what people want to know. You think people wouldn't want to charge their phones in a few minutes? Of course they would. I would. But how?

                  You have your 50 fricking phones and then you talking about longetivity of device and its battery. Are you kidding me? I already told you before. How can you know each phone's state when you don't use the same phone for a longer period of time? You're constantly switching to another phone. Great hobby, but me for example, I tend to have one phone until it starts to give up. It would really help me to use ultra fast chargers if only companies would be more transparent with what they're doing.

                  And please don't forget to answer me why certificates exists and why companies needs them.

                    Boiling water low heat or high heat?

                    A litre of water takes exactly the same amount of energy to go from 10 degrees to 100 degrees, high or low, however slow will take longer as some heat is lost during the expanded time

                    USB/ micro USB charger are typically 5 watts, Watts equal Volts multiplied by Amps

                    You can check this yourself as they are shown on the output.

                    Fast chargers exactly the same but...higher voltage and amperage.
                    Another but.. Type C cables must have minimum of 60 Watts 20 volt at 3 amps

                    Another potentially limiting factor is cabling, if you use the older USB micro usb with a Type C adapter to charge your phone you may not in all likelihood get a fast charge, it depends how good a quality the cable is

                    As you can see charging a phone using a 5 Watt charger will take much longer. It does NOT damage the battery, and is something I do.

                    I start the charge at say 6 Am and whatever the eventual % is, is the % I leave the house at

                    Using the phone with high drain apps will increase its temperature as will using when charging.

                    Fast or slow charging depends on the charger, (Power Delivery) and cabling which restricts or speed up charging

                    A 2o watt wired phone won't charge faster using a 65 watt Power Delivery

                        My Galaxy S8, Axon 7 and other phones that charge with below 20W, they always got hot, even when charged with their original charger.

                        That would make sense, but it doesn't really happen like that, since they don't even have time to heat up, when they go from 0-100% in about 15 minutes, like my iQOO 5 Pro and Infinix Zero Ultra, or about 30 minutes when it comes to my vivo X Note.

                        Do you perhaps own a phone with above 50W charging speeds and have experienced extreme heat? If so, please share it with me, because my experience is the absolute opposite.

                              When will people finally accept and underatand this fact?

                              Heat is the thing that's bad for batteries, and the slower you charge your phone the hotter it gets and the longer it stays hot.

                              Most fast charging bricks, including Infinix's 68W and 180W chargers, they heat up while charging, instead of your phone.

                                They've really skipped the ultrawide camera just for some battery-degrading feature.
