And this is exactly the difference between Samsung and Motorola which has been continuously in the search for a concept to beat the Z Flip and therefore changing the phones in each iteration. Now, when they finally adopted the Z Flip concept fully and thrown away their own unique design language, they will have a more realistic chance.

Do you really believe Samsung haven't had that on the roadmap already? They have been improving their hinges and durability year by year.
Seriously: Samsung sells millions of them around the world and must deliver a solution that works, including IPX8 rating. You should check videos of RAZR+ in which you see the hinge area coming up and down when flipping/unflipping the phone, and why it is not water-resistant like Z Flip.

Unless the performance delivers and the new outer cover on the flip is worth it, this next generation of Samsung foldable smartphones are one of the closest things to a rinse repeat imo.

All I'm waiting for is the alleged DeX support. Motorola RAZR 2022 supports both wired and wireless Ready For, so it should be something Samsung should have no problem doing with the upcoming Z Flip5.

Many long term 30 day reviews of the Razr40/Razr+ (2023) show that typing on the cover screen is accurate even if annoying 1 line preview.
Remember most people that reply to SMS/Text or WhatsApp usually type 1 short sentences. And then many of them thereafter. gen Y & Z’s do Thai they’ve not old school like us 50yr olds whom Razr convey a full message into one reply and not any you with bombarding alerts for 1 liners. We don’t scream for attention lol.
The outer display is meant for interactive glances not to act lien a communicator or “Fold” type smartphone.
Also the Oppo Find N2 is the kit. The Picel is garbage but available with Google services natively and in the USA without loosing warranty support. But I dislike its design.
I’d wait until fall for OnePlus Open fold type smartphone I’ve true pIxel. I’m sure you’ll want thy more.

Why I need fol... morethe attraction of flip over fold is; you don't have to carry a large footprint the whole day. it is only getting regular when you need to use it. then, flip it back and put it anywhere. unlike fold, flip is light and small. besides,many people complain about phones are no longer exciting. flip has a regular flagship experience and adds a flip action to it.

Really curious on what things you can do with the larger front screen. If it can function like a regular home screen running regular apps, that would be sweet.
