Despite most lenses being less than 5mm in size, but having 10+mm lens covers, along with Leica/whatever branding, most people are easily duped into thinking their garbage smartphone cameras are competing with DSLRs, so they're getting a good deal. Never mind the fact that images from a ~2015 phone look clearer thanks to having sensible processing.

    Don't forget these cutouts take up space which make it hard to hold the phone without accidentally smudging up the lenses which if you don't clean every time, will result in awful photos. Back when camera cutouts were small they sat below the edges of a phone case, but now the sublenses are flush with the case which means you are guaranteed to have dirty lenses.

    And don't get me started on useless ultrawide cameras taking up space when the main cameras are already wide angle lenses.

I personally use OP9Pro, and i wish i got Samsung or Pixel instead, software is just horrendous, and with each update it keeps getting worse, and multiple people are facing green line issues, and OnePlus support is just plain poor. The extra you spend to get Samsung or iPhone is because they provide excellent service in the long run, don't be a fanboy

                          The 1" sensor ain't as expensive as what many imagined. You can get a Xiaomi 13 Ultra quad camera replacement parts for about 80USD which includes a single 1" sensor. The 13 Pro main camera replacement parts is only 25USD if you know where to find. And this pricing isn't limited to OEM quantities. We paying more for their marketing and Leica collaboration branding.

But having said that, 1" with ultra wide is not feasible due to the physical lens size, unless you don't mind a 1" thick phone.
