I don't know how HTC One can use the same microphones when it records sound so much better then the 920 or 808. It doesn't sound like the SAME microphone really.

Most of the people here are either being paid or are haters towards Nokia. Nokia is right on their part, how could u use their exclusives without permission. Htc already copied Lumia design in their 8x n now haac mic in htc one. No company will allow anyone to copy their tech widout a legal agreement. Get off Nokia haters.

Nokia is doing the right thing, imagine you invested a lot of money for your R and D and it took years to invent that technology, and its one of the main feature of your phone. And one company will say that its a new technology that they developed, What would you feel?

Actually ST Microelectronics is the only manufacturer of those mics, Nokia is the one who developed the technology and since they dont enough resources they let ST Microelectronics to manufacture for them.

I am really sick and tired of this bulls**t. It's high time the greedy companies stop filing f**king injunctions and cvlaiming patent violations and start focusing the billions of pounds they're putting aside on product development. GSMArena - i love your petition for a smaller top end smart phone, how about a petition against manufacturers filing patent violatios against one another?!

AnonD-252, 23 Apr 2013Accusing someone for being a troll when you have no argumen... moreThat is not accusing boy. You are a troll, your arguments are invalid, your posts makes no sense, your sentences define so much hatred against Nokia, you make no sense, you only post on Nokia's forums, you only post against Nokia, you only hate Nokia and Microsoft, you only live in your basement. Develop some sense of humor and accept the fact that you are "just here to troll".
How stupid your post was. "Microsoft Puppet". No where in this article I have found a word "Microsoft", you just brought it from your full of hatred mind and post a pathetic comment like you always do in every Nokia article.

"This prove that Microsofts puppet Nokia have become just as "evil" as Apple!"
At-least Nokia sue others on "reasonable" cases. THIS is my friend a technology worth a claim. I will recall, Nokia had spend time and money on its production and a company just stole it isn't the proper way of competing in a business specially when you are a giant company. Your post 'again' makes no sense.
Evil? Claiming something belongs to you is Evil? I don't understand your logic or you must be half conscious when you wrote that. Considering someone stole your invention which you had invented in a period and had spent money on it's production. How would you behave when you found it its been stolen by another person and is being used to bring wealth to a third party. I think you are man enough and stable enough to claim that thing belongs to you...
Totally worth calling out your sentence as invalid and irrelevant.

"The company, STMicroelectronics, that sold this mic to anyone else than Nokia should be sued, not HTC!"
Like HTC is new in business and don't have record which technology belongs to which company. Excuse me! HTC is worldwide. They know every thing about which brand offers/holds/claims which particular technology. They won't do such a thing because I am confident(not assuming) they know this technology technically as well as legally belongs to Nokia. Don't tell me "Owhh! they don't know about it". That will define your mental balance. To start a business, you have to research on it first and as being a tech giant. HTC had already done that.
Therefore, you comment is invalid here as well.

As I said in the beginning. You are just a troll. Go home and play sega.

There is a huge difference between Apple sue Samsung for similar looking icons and Nokia sueing HTC for microphone technology which Nokia has invented and now HTC using as main advantage in their phone.
