They are indeed a greedy company and deserve a lot of criticism. I've tried switching to ios about 9 months ago, didn't like it and switched back to android after a month. I do enjoy using a macbook pro 14" though.

Also, whatever you say, but I'm not even an Apple hater as you said. I've owned several Apple products since the iPhone 5 era, and until now I still love their iPads, MacBooks, and Airpods. But rules are rules, I'm not on the Apple side this time. I love their products, but a greedy company is still a greedy company.

They just bought some patents from LG/Samsung in order to gain profits from suing big companies like Apple.
Apple already has patent licensing agreement with Nokia, LG, Ericsson, etc. companies that are real innovators and producers of their own patents.
Paying to a patent troll like Optis, who only bought some patents and didn't invest a dime in development, will be bad for the end users. If Optis wins, they will continue suing other companies and make a path for other patent trolls to follow suit. Eventually, this will lead to price increase of end products, only for the sake of making the patent trolls richer.
