Weekly poll results: the Asus Zenfone 10 gets a lot of love, but it could be better

09 July 2023
Just adding an extra OS update would be a big step forward - the hardware package is (mostly) great, but it is too pricey to age out of OS updates so fast.

The bezels should be even in four sides as a flagship standard. This is the only nit picking i've ever had

I'm still okay with two major OS update, but a third one shouldn't hurt much.

It's a bit odd to love the Zenfone for being a small smartphone.
Compared to the Zenfone 10, Samsung's Galaxy S23 is only slightly smaller in length, 2mm taller in width, and 2mm thicker, so the size difference is minimal.
However, the Galaxy S23 has four OS updates, twice as many as the Zenfone, a useful 3X camera, and is available in many countries at a much lower price than it was at launch.
Interestingly, the Zenfone has very good internet reviews, but sales are so low that we don't even have statistics. Are there really people out there who think it's good?

Phones are released every year, so there are not huge jumps in performance, features, ...
I will pick up another zenfone, when the battery on my zen8 starts to lose significantly the capacity, what will be probably when zen's 12/13 price will drop to ~500€ :)).
And another condition is, 12/13 must be better for sure.

If the S23 base still had a Exynos then Zenfone would be a no brainer for me.

But S23 (128gb) without sales starts at €780 now, with some cashbacks and coupons you could easily get the S23 256gb for around 700 euro here.

Zenfone starts at €799, and they don’t drop in price at all in my country (based on prices of previous ROG and Zenfone models)

So there is a 3,5mm left as the only reason to get it above Samsung, for support S23 makes more sense even while I dislike OneUI.

Anyhow I wonder how much Xperia 5 V will be, even while Sony their support is just as short as the one Asus provides, Sony phones have more reasons to consider than Samsung.

But if Samsung goes back to Exynos with the S24, then Zenfone 11 will again make more sense than Samsung does.

Can GSMArena sort the results in descending/ ascending order? It's so annoying.
