"Asha s... moreSo reality for you is embarrassing? Then you are free to ignore and live in your own life!
You must be living in high class society with AC homes, surrounded by geeks, come down to the streets you shall know what the reality is. Its about the price and not the tech knowledge that these mobiles are focusing on. Plus the brand name Nokia still holds the heart of many people.
I am on Vodafone these are my options : - http://i.imgur.com/Sz1J64b.png
Not a single network in 3G in my area, and where do I live just touch outside Mumbai, where my circle changes to MH.
850 is only for data, adding calls and sms cost, plus service tax and other charges takes you to around 1000 easily.

(if you know yourself very well, probably you'll get hurt by this) if you are into the smartphone world then why insult this dumbphone? If it doesn't meet your expectations then leave it as it is. It's not bad to speak out of what you feel about something but I think some who posted their comments have gone way to far from reality. If this is what nokia wants for their devices then let it be! If you find these kind of phones as dumb then produce your own smartphone based from your own definitions of "SMART". and if you think that nokia is out of the track, then go ahead! Lead the company!

GSM Arena are you trying to say that $72 is CHEAP.
For many third World countries, $72 is a big money.
Cheap is $30. You get it $30.
Instead of this, better add some more money and get Apple Iphone 3GS new for $99.
Cheers!!

Nokia, please stop polluting the Earth! Please stop wasting precious resources with this junk type of "phones"! People so poor that they can afford only this phone, would better buy a recycled second hand phone.
