Stupid Nokia. Who would ever appreciate dumbphones in the world of advanced hi-tech smartphone. Nokia should use all its resources for smartphones and capture the smartphone market rather than concentrating on DUMB PHONES

AnonD-41271, 24 Apr 2013Its not about having the support its about using that. Asha... moreStop embarassing yourself and the country.
"Asha series is mainly target to the markets like India" .
What age are you in? Who wants those toy phones from nokia which still thinks people in india are unknown to the tech world? India is no longer market for those cheap phones.
"there is no 3G connection available in 90% of India, only a few cities"
I agree on that part since no netwrok provider has won license to provide in all the spectrum. But,(i dunno what netwrk are you on)Airtel,Vodafone & Idea are providing 3G in with each others netwrk where they dont have license.
"Average 3G bill in India is Rs.1000".
Hmmm, I dunno what plan are you in. Even Unlimited 3G costs Rs.899($16.5)/month across all networks.

AnonD-41271, 24 Apr 2013Its not about having the support its about using that. Asha... moreMan either u dnt live in india or u r living in a wrong part of india probably east india.
First 3g is available in majority of India and even in villages. My village is 30 kms outside delhi city airtel 3v signals are perfect there.
Second average 3g bill doesn't go beyond 500 which gives u around 2 to 2.5 gb of data. Thats among cheapest in world. If u wanna use beyond that then u really wanna need a wifi.....
M still laughing at 90% though who gave u these figures? Any source huh???

This is repetitive only thing to shout about is wifi. Why cant Nokia update all its new feature phones to 3 megapixel. The new direction for nokia should be the nokia 301 when it comes to new featurephones. I'm sick of 2g and 2 mp snappers.

Asha's and Lumia's are great but DON'T stop the E Series Nokia. You'll lose market share for qwerty BUSINESS phones!

If Nokia had made a qwerty phone similar to E61i with new features I'd definitely had bought it. E61i was the best qwerty phone Nokia ever made. If Nokia really wants to balance it's market share worldwide it should launch a new E61i display n all alike.

KingJames, 24 Apr 2013So Asha is only for India? did they forget rest of the worl... moreSince forever. Every company does that, they release phones suitable to those particular markets. And I didn't say only India, I said markets like India. Since I am an Indian, I gave example of my country as I am very well versed with the situation here than any other market in the world.

Perfect budget phone for a developing country like India.. its price before tax is 72USD means somwhere around 3900-4000 INR.. after tax and duties it should not got beyond 5000INR and in 5 grands it would be a best device for the youth.. 2G+Wi-Fi+GPS+FB+Twitter+WhatsApp support that what I the youth is looking for.. and a 2MP Nokia camera is good.. I had used N72 for 4 years, the pics are great so expect the same quality of 2MP from Nokia..
Hope it releases on time before the end of 2Q i.e. June'13..
