Gonna tr... moreencountered the same problem which pissed me off but tried pc companion since I already downloaded it before..then it did work... no need tp open the sony website..you just need to click on the update phone/tablet link on your pc companion..then patience is needed :)

hey! updated my xperia p via sony pc companion...just now! did it via ota but it didn't work... from CEbu Philippines here...so pinoys, it's good for update now! :)

I went through Sony Official forum and found this. Gonna try this way.
All you having problems updating to jelly bean:
OTA update won't work,; you need to update your phones using PC.
Try uninstalling PC COMPANION (I really mean it)
Then connect your phone to PC using "debugging mode"
Open your computer web browser
Go to http://www.sonymobile.com/glob...ware/phones/
Select your phone model and click " check for updates ".
It should notify you that the new updates are available and that you need to download PC companion (the one you have previously uninstalled) in order to update your phone.
Download pc companion and update your phone.
I hope at least some of you will manage to update your phones this way.
*your computer web browser has to have java flash extension installed

It's very Disappointing that few people are able to update while rest of others aren't in the same region. Still Update is not available in India. Sony you're too slow. I doubt JB update will take a whole month OR may be more to cover the entire world.

In Serbia JB update is still missing. But I updated it with flashtool. Just download original sony 4.1.2 rom and flash it. JB works great with me, slightly performance improvement and some minor details makes it great. Or for all of those who are simple bored with ICS, like me, its great.

i mannualy updated using ftf file n flashtool. Home screen still lags, lockscreen shortcuts should be customizable, if you want to change music player to something else like silent mode, you cannot do that.
ICS buggs are fixed, i only had a problem with notification tone not ringing. From saudia, though PCC or SUS still doesnt show any update available, couldnt wait so did it mannualy.

I have finally upgraded to JB 4.1.2. Hardly any performance improvement which is very disappointing. Still lags like ICS even after a full factory reset. Maybe because its a sony rom. A few visual changes here and there. Not too fancy. Will consider using CyanogenMod roms. Hopefully they release a xperia p rom soon :) Btw I purchased my xperia from Hong kong (international unlocked)

There's no JB update for me (Philippines). When I connected my phone using PCC,it says that my phone is up to date. Anyone here from the Philippines who already upgraded to JB? Thanks!
