Why do you people so eagerly update your old phone? I have P and U, ever updated to ICS and got very dissappointed due to laggy performance. I brought it back to the SONY center and ask them to downgrade it back to GB 2.3.7, they gave me the service with no charge. The GB is very fluid and fast, also consumes little memory.
Today I updated my P to JB by myself, and see a while that it is not too bad compared to ICS in the matter of speed and fluency of the software. I will examine it for a week at least, and if I get dissappointed then I will bring it back to the SONY center and ask them to downgrade it back to GINGER BREAD, no ICS. I am not so techy person who need many new fancy features of new android release on an old phone, what I need is cell phone with good performance, that's all.

shame on you sony,i had more expectations from you,i have the flagship of 2012's phone xperia s,and we are the last one who receive jb among all brands,xperia z users it will be your destination too,i'll sell tjis junk and will buy one that keep his promise to users

As I updated my Xperia P: I am from Mumbai, India
1) 1st time I update my cell phone and it didn't start.
2) So I update my phone for 2nd time and I lost my all Data.
3) The battery mode when set to Stamina Mode it just show me 6hours.
4) The battery when fully charged it also drains in 6hours.

And try not to update manually, take ur xp to a service centre so that they will install full file of jb,!! If u update manually only a patch up file will be delivered to u? Be sure to take a back up of ur files to pc!!!!
