13 July 2023

Technology has moved on from 33W, most phones have 65-150W charging, so 33W is budget territory.

Except for india... In which even iphone and samsungs explode there... But its indias fault tbh. No quality control at all.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2023Instead of saying Chinese phones, which Chinese phone?Any phone that has over 100w+? Like look at xiaomi 300w charging tech news. It says how xiaomi went the safest and most durable way to have the phone keep sustained performance and all that. Xiaomi claims they have 50 features on the technology to keep the phone safe and least amount of deterioration which is even better then samsungs "li-ion" batteries. Which is even more impressive where they went for a stacking design which is much more different and way more efficient then this old technology which samsung will use. And yeah this is still in demo but look at realmes phones in which they have pretty good to decent battery life depending on the chipset.

Li-ion is not safe to me as while i never had a flagship samsung, all of the Samsung's i had batteries got bloated. Many times. So i have my bias in which samsung battery is crap. Even recent new shows how much dangerous samsung is with "all" of their phones bloating up.

Using li-po battery and even honors newest tech in in which they're using silicon-carbon battery are the primary batteries people should buy.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2023Instead of saying Chinese phones, which Chinese phone? Most, if not all of them, that are using 40W or above fast charging, or have very large batteries.

For some examples you can check one of my previous comments on this article with teardown videos showing the stacked batteries.

The Doogee S100 is for sure one, if you can't find said comment.

Most phones don't last 3 days, or at least not for an average person and even if they did, it's still better to get something done (in this case the charging) faster.

SShock, 14 Jul 2023I have a 65W GAN charger and my S23 Ultra never ever charge... moreThat 65 watt is up to 65 watt, how the charger work is not continuously pump 65 watt all the time, there's a certain parameters it will go 65 watt if the battery near empty and the phone temperature, then the charger will lower the watt it pump when the battery reach certain percentage + the current phone temperature to prevent overheat.

Also make sure you enable the fast charging on setting and make sure the charging protocol is compatible with your phone

We have seen lighter phones ( Galaxy M series ) with 6000 mAH battery also . Before that , I had a Galaxy F62 with 7000 mAh battery. that is also equal to the weight of s23 ultra.
