The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could support 65W fast charging thanks to new battery tech

So I'm supposed to trust Samsung the most with their fast charging technology after they managed to not test it if their supplier has even sent the correct sized battery and make a phone literally explode even though it only had slow 15W charging?
No thanks brother, Samsung is the company I trust the least, when it comes to anything, in fact I don't trust them at all.
"If your house burns down because of some Xiaomi or Realme 1000W charger, you basically get what you paid for, and since both brands release on average 2.7 new phone models per day, it's not that much of a big deal to recall 1 or 2 models."
Has any of this ever actually happened? Anyone's house ever burnt down because they were charging a Realme or a Xiaomi phone?
Did Xiaomi or Realme ever have to recall any of their phones?
You seem like an average over-exaggerating Samsung fanboy trying to defend your favourite brand.

AnonD-1044551, 14 Jul 2023Guess you don't have apps running in the background Well, my main device is a vivo and has been for a long time. It's not the same model, that I have used for a long time before, but both my brand new vivo X Note and my almost 3 years old iQOO 5 Pro stays on a 100% during night, after having been fully charged before going to sleep.
For example, even when turning on Airplane Mode, each of my Infinix Zero Ultras and my Infinix Note 30 Pro goes down to 97-99% with the same usage and same charging method. So I'd say vivo's Origin OS helps a lot here.
I also close every app I'd use during the day, before charging my phones.

Well S22 Ultra said to support 45W charging and in reality the speeds barely cross 20W few times durring the whole charging proces hope this wont be same fail like S22.
In case of Samsung its always the rumor which people actually pay.

Look forward to Samsungs implementation of 65w ultra fast charging. Like to see it charge as fast as my nord 2, 100% in 31 mins with little to no heat.

Unfortunatelly you do need the official 45W Samsung charger specifically, or a charger that is specified to work well with a Samsung phone, but I really wouldn't recommend it, as it's basically fake, you are getting better results with 35W right now.

I have a 65W GAN charger and my S23 Ultra never ever charges at 45W. Either it doesn't happen at all or I'd need Samsung charger specifically. The highest I've seen was 35W iirc. Measured with cable that has display showing charge rate in watts. Though for my needs, that's fast enough even when I'm in a hurry.

Well, my almost 3 year old iQOO 5 Pro being always charged with 120W up to 100% still has good battery life, so I don't feel this problem.
"..rapid deteroriation when the battery is at its extreme like 0-20% or 80-100%."
Well, if would have to start my days with only 85% every time, then I would almost always be between 0-20% at the end of each day, since I'm a heavy user, so that's a no go for me.
"..staying at low temperatures which is why overnight charging is a thing as it generates low heat compared to 30min - 1hr charge."
Before my iQOO 5 Pro, I always charged my phones overnight and all of those phones had significantly worse battery life after less than a year of usage, even though they were all brand new and charged with their original charger that came in the box. So overnight charging a phone is ... over for me.

Everyone remembers Note 7 issues, so now they don't want to add any technology they aren't sure is 100% safe. For Samsung however, it would be quite disastrous if they had to recall any of their S models.

DarlingYext, 14 Jul 2023Why would I want to start my day with 85% of battery life, ... moreBeing at 100% is not the issue what is is the duration you stay above 80%, someone who drains his battery from 100 to 80% slower will have poor battery health. This is because of rapid deteroriation when the battery is at its extreme like 0-20% or 80-100%. Good battery health comes from maintaining the phone from 20-80% & from the battery staying at low temperatures which is why overnight charging is a thing as it generates low heat compared to 30min - 1hr charge.
Do note that battery health is something that will really felt in 1-2yrs, if you replace your phone or battery by then then fast charging right before bed ain't a problem.

If EU wouldnt ban 100W+ wireless charging speeds others would have 300W+ wireless too.

Just bought 45w original charger with cable together. Works perfectly though my midranger supports only up to 25w. If 65w is reality will buy it too with a flagship phone and upcoming watch pro alongside with upcoming buds pro though I already have 5 pairs of tws earbuds.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2023also want to add, the reason samsung doesn't go pursue... more"..they have trauma with note 7 battery.."
The Note 7 had a very slow 15W charging, so the charging speeds had nothing to do with the situation.
One very simple thing happened, Samsung's battery supplier sent them batteries that were bigger than what they needed to be, so they still fit in the phone's body, but had no room for any expension which is what caused them to blow up.
