We're still months away from its unveiling, and there's nothing we don't already know about it.

[deleted post]No, YOU don't get it at all. I charge my phone only before going to sleep, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not using my phone while sleeping. I don't think I'm sleep walking either, my phone always stays at a 100% during the night when it's just sitting idle in Airplane Mode.

I think the temperature sensor is a waste and just a way to hike the price to increase the revenue sale numbers.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2023Has it sold more than 50.000 units already? I would like to know how many of those have been sold so far hehe

        Disgusting.

The specs listed don't highlight any of the innovations in the Tensor 3. Hardware encoding of AV1 and (hopefully) WebP for camera images, making that storage effectively 10x what it looks like for video, pictures, media. I'm looking forward to see it actually.

"Dash Charge carries more current than other fast charging solutions, and at lower temperatures. Normally, heat generated through charging is dissipated in the phone itself - this causes performance issues during active charging, throttling CPU and GPU speeds. By shifting the power management system and heat dispersion elements to our Dash Charge Adapter, very little heat ever reaches your OnePlus 3."

Funny nobody here shows evidence of phones with fast charging remaining as cool as phones with slow 12-15W.

" More importantly, it will jump two generations forward from the G2 in terms of hardware. The Tensor G3 will feature a single Cortex-X3 at 3.0GHz, 4x A715 at 2.45GHz and 4x A510 at 2.15GHz. For comparison, the G2 had two prime cores, Cortex-X1 (2.85GHz), two A78 (2.35GHz) and four A55 (1.80GHz) cores.

We should see a big jump in performance and especially energy efficiency. That said, there are already A720 cores available and the Cortex-X4 is lurking around the corner, so the G3 will quickly fall behind the competition - just not as far behind as the G2 was.

As for the GPU, the G3 will jump to an Immortalis-G715 with 10 cores at 890MHz. This GPU has hardware support for ray tracing and is also a couple of generations newer than the Mali-G710 MC10 of the G2 chip. You can also expect a faster NPU for Google's AI magic."

The Pixel range is at best mid range.

Finally @ whoever keeps yammering on about 27 Watts and charging times , I see people like you on the phone even in the cinema, If you are waiting fir the phone to charge you probably are most definitely interacting with your phone too much. Proof how many times have you made the same point
