The Sony WF-1000XM5 are coming next week

Based on leaks, the new buds will be smaller and lighter than the XM4 TWS buds and will feature longer battery life and improved ANC.

Bought the 1000xm3 a couple of years back. Application is very bad and updates stopped as soon as the new model came out. Still have issues with random disconnects on every device I have used them with. Bought Airpods Pro and never looked back.

    Oh no, at that price I`d rather get the Denon PerL Pro. This one should be competing with mainstream brands like sennheiser and bose, not niche audiophile brands

Just saying that these is possibility very hard to tell ldac to aptx lossless depending what equipment you use? A phone using aptx lossless might be harder to tell as the source isn't that high quality, but a high resolution audio player might be easier to tell, but aptx lossless is Qualcomm technology and chances it's only on very new high resolution audio player as well

                        Sony WF-xm5? My xm4 is still sealed/unboxed (gift) since I am satisfied with the xm3.
                        And for the last few weeks I'm using the Sony wi c100 (20€) when I'm at home (also got the wh 1000xm3 and xb900 on ear headphones, but in summer months I prefer in ears).
                        The wi c100 are quite decent. Battery life is superb. Call quality is okay. Sound quality is decent too. Build quality is just AliExpress 5€ in-ears level. The OnePlus wireless Z feels more premium.

                          A must buy for me over the upcoming samsung's

                            My wife has wf-1000m4 and size wise don't seem to be issue, wonder what other aspects can be improved

                                      I won't mention any name but 5.9g is still not that light. the headset that I have in mind is 5.1g with more than average noise canceling. and I bet anything Sony price is going to be at least double the price.
