iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly be in very short supply upon launch

21 July 2023
The reason has to do with Apple's quest to minimize their bezels.

I think it's a good way to cover up the fact that smartphone market is on a decline and probably Apple too will face unsold inventory issues, especially with next to none improvements over previous generations, Apple might try to use this situation to create a new marketing hype "Hurry! Only few left".

Ever since Apple tried to diversify their display supply chain they have issues with all their display suppliers except Samsung Display that usually gets additional orders because LG Display and BOE can't fulfil their contracts..
I really wonder when Apple will give up and rather have a single reliable supplier than three chaotic ones..

So why not just Samsund-made displays? I'm assuming it's so Apple can diversify there supply chain or perhaps Samsung can't fulfill the entire order or eventhatLG is cheaper.

In the end, Apple is going to pay more to Samsung to take order that are LG's.
This will lead Apple to raise prices even more for Asia and Latin America, where iphones already are easily 50% more expensive than North America to recover that money.
