They removed the telephoto or the ultrawide!
I'm starting to feel a little scared when even Sony begins to downgrade their phones..
On top of that they made the phone significantly uglier as well.
Even the Xperia 10 series now has both a telephoto and an ultrawide, since the 10 II, so this leak would mean they will likely remove one of the cameras from the 10 V as well.
I feel like this will more likely be a Japan only Compact series phone or the 10 IV/V Lite as the successor of the 10 III Lite.

hmm, 24 Jul 2023Looks like Apple iphone X rear camera is back in style.
Wh... more50- 60mm cam costs more than 13-16mm.
Reason you do not see dual cam like iphone X anymore.
Brand cam save millions of dollars in the end.

Looks like Apple iphone X rear camera is back in style.
Why not replace the wide camera with telephoto ?
I rather have the optical zoom version of the camera over wide that i never use anyways.
To be honest people mostly use portrait mode anyways as how they hold the phone while make pictures

I think Sony is making a mistake if they are removing the telephoto camera.

Sony is sabotaging 5 series to make ppl only interested in 1.
That is even worse than what apple does to non-pro iphones.
Well, the plan may work. This one is so ugly.
Obviously the camera remove is the 60mm, when should be 16mm.
All this to save money by not making 5 a smaller version of 1.

A bit disappointing that it appears to be dropping one of the camera modules, likely the telephoto.. One of the big appeals of the 5 series was that you got nearly the full experience of the 1 with some incredibly minor downgrades (e.g. dropping the display to 1080p, which just made sense because of the smaller screen anyway) but keeping every core feature of the flagship.
It does make me feel more secure in my decision to pull the trigger on the 1V though rather than waiting for this one!

Not going to lie, if they really have removed the telephoto lens I’ll be very disappointed. This will need to be significantly more affordable as they can’t sell this as a true premium compact version of the 1 V with only two lenses while keeping a straight face. Fingers crossed there’s something we’ve missed in all this

Removing the telephoto? Do Sony actually not want to sell any phones??
Phones continue to get worse. More and more brands actively downgrading their phones

Why on earth would they get rid of the telephoto
Isn't this like an experia 10 VI or something
