It's laughable that the SD600 from 2013 supports 4K recording while the newer 6 series chipsets are stuck on FHD

Camera especially was a real sh*tshow, my unit also had a quality issue as the camera was noticeably off-center. Plus whatever that coating was that "protected" the camera, it wore off quickly. Huge bezels for such a small display, and those speakers were still just tiny phone speakers; not worth the hype. What was even worse, it was extremely difficult to sell only after a year. But it wasn't completely all bad, it had great audio quality on headphones. The built-in headphone amp was good. If it was priced below 400 euros on launch, instead of almost 700, I wouldn't be so critical. It just wasn't worth the money. It was also the phone that taught me to always order phones online and pick up from the store, that way I had access to a 14-day return policy in case my next new phones were disastrous as well. One M8 remains as one of my all-time worst tech-related purchase decisions, along with some AMD Radeon GPU's. :(

Germany prices here (brand new)
Poco F5, currently 320€, normally 380€
A54 was 250€, usually goes for 350ish
Redmi notes 12 go for 250 to 400€ depending on model (12 pro is currently at 275€)
S23 was for under 600€ the other day
Offcourse MSRP is higher and has no connection to common sense today, just to make you feel you get a good deal so you buy
But 90% of time you can get these prices
