Well I only got the S23 Ultra due to the Snapdragon. Looks like I won't be replacing it for a couple years and if Exynos is as bad as it has been, I'll never use one.

der, 26 Jul 2023I remember the days when the Exynos used to be far superior... moreWow.
It seems people have already voted based on facts sorry rumours not in evidence.
There are other related articles which I can only assume have not been read, A answer. Not contained in the final post B Answer.
What do we know so far. Before Usain Bolt began setting records his performance was pretty dire, in a field of peers
Qualcomm charges for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is exorbitant and significantly more than even Apples Bionic 16.
Samsung pays the piper flagship phone flagship SoC
The article says wait. So let's wait not an undetermined amount of time, just up to Xmas 2023 ( previously know as Twittermas)
Why am I excited, well before that we see the Bionic 17, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and Mediatek Dimensity 9300 in real world phones.
https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-8-gen-2-vs-mediatek-dimensity-9200
Let me pose a hypothetical if say Mediatek blows away Qualcomm should Samsung opt for the 9300? (Ignoring the Exynos 2400 factor)
Samsungs Exynos 2400 may be 10 Cores we know that it will have one Cortex above 3.0 GHz.
The Exynos 2200 doesn't fare well against the 8 Gen 2, but before I wait for all the results to come in.
There could be a reversal of fortune, Samsung could go Exynos 2400 as the benchmark performance are so close that would not impact user.
If the performance of these three are so close the spin off will be or should be a reduction in price, or in improvement in othe areas.
Samsung are no fools so for it to be considering to maybe drop Qualcomm is that they have addressed the previous weakness.

I owned Note 10 Exynos for 3 years after that upgraded to S22+ last year Snapdragon......I can say there's a noticeable difference between the chips......Exynos phones heats up really fast while charging and playing pubg but I don't have any heating experience with my current phone......Besides another problem is battery backup and standby draining of battery......My Note 10 drains battery overnight by 10-12 percent while now I'm experiencing 3-4 percent of batter drop overnight.

Dantonku, 26 Jul 2023The FE series exists and it wouldn't be a bad idea to ... moreYeah, it's high time they accept that it trails behind the others and should only be used in lower tier phones and not their main flagship line. If your region will be getting the Exynos variant next year, there's always the flip & fold that have always had SD. Maybe it's a deliberate move by Samsung to push some of their buyers into switching to the pricier flagships.

Err... No.
Try again.
This time, first Google the right explanation why Exynos can't make its way to States and it can only be sold with Qualcomm chip.
Hint: patents
Cheers buddy!

Dantonku, 26 Jul 2023The FE series exists and it wouldn't be a bad idea to ... moreThat's a great idea to keep Exynos in the FE only (though of course it is unlikely Samsung will do that, and real Fan would still choose SD anyway).
If anything, Samsung should lower the price of Exynos-powered devices at least 10-20% compared to same device with SD chip since Exynos is manufactured in-house.

Try to fill up as many chip production into their chip machine & try to save money to use their own product.
**NOT** a wrong moves, but shouldn't do it on a flaghsip S24
Perhaps create an S24-lite, or S224-b (S24-bad version) something like that
