Maybe do some data science and you'll see that, perhaps you could write a paper on it - though make sure it's only in A5 otherwise we won't be able to read it.

When those vendors will at last understand that we need BIGGER screens? I am a data scientist, I have all my scientific papers of A4 size, usually with small fonts. I need at least 14 inch screen tablet to be able to visualize A4 size normally. OK, let us forget about us (professionals): there are also students, children, etc., who have a plenty of books which are NOT comfortable to read on those 10-11 inch screens...

No 3.5mm, no sd slot. It's take too much space in body of 11 inch tablet?

"However, the company hasn't made any promises about the Android version upgrades and security patches, which is a bummer."
This is the answer for you GSMArena

Many of the latest Xiaomi releases now provide at least 4 years of security updates, even €100 phones.

I tried to use a Redmi Pad and I decided not to use it again. The widgets are poorly implemented and not even their own widgets are correctly resized on large screens. Seriously. Not being able to use third party launchers with full screen gesture is also annoying.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2023SD865 in 2023. Pathetic For this price, 865 chipset performance is already quite good.

It's a really great tablet. A side fingerprint sensor would make it way better though.

Everyone seems to be complaining about the chipset. In Malaysia, this tablet is priced at roughly 280usd for the baseline model, aside from the baseline ipad 9, there's simply no competition for SD870 at that price point. The alternatives are what? the matepad with kirin or the oppo pad air with SD680? i'd take the 870 with one year less of software update anyday than having to suffer the slow performance that the other chips offer.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2023I don't agree about the "pathetic" part, but... moreOld chip. Does not matter if it is stronger than other. It is old chip with A76 and this should be left behind.
Imagine the upcoming ipad 11 with A12.
This would be ridiculous.
Funny that brand not from China get extremely bashed if SoC is not current gen.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2023SD865 in 2023. Pathetic The only pathetic thing here is selling a 128Gb model since all of them have no SD card slot. Imagine the free space left to the user after subtracting the space used by OS. And still doesn't include future firmware/app updates.

Some competitors offer the Snapdragon 695 or Helio G99. Some people are living in their own minds, really disconnected from reality.

If you guys did bother checking what SoC android tablets under 380 use, you would be surprised with how bad chips tablets have these days.
The Xiaomi pad 6 probably has the best chip for its price and its not even close, aside from normal Ipads(the previous ones, the latest is more expensive).
At around 450-500 the next best one is the Oneplus with Dimensity 9000 ,and over 600 and 700, there are the more expensive Samsung S series.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2023SD865 in 2023. Pathetic I don't agree about the "pathetic" part, but I do think they should've given something more powerful - like the Dimensity 8100. It's kind of the only good choice imo. There have been no "makes-sense-for-oems" midrange processors from Snapdragon. 860, 865, 865+, 870, 888, 888+, 778G, 778G+, 782G, 7 Gen 1 - ALL are in the same ballpark. 8 Gen 1 was a joke, 8+ Gen 1 is high-end (it's on the Pad 6 Pro) and so is 7+ Gen 2 (even more randomly).
