This is a mistake, it was supposed to have improved the zoom on the 14 Pro/Pro Max or at least bring something different to the 14/14 Plus but Apple's releases seem more and more dull because we know that it will change very little and unfortunately while selling they do not change, in my opinion there are such minimal differences between the 12, 13 and 14 that I find it ridiculous when I remember that they have practically the same screen while the S23 has 1750 nits and currently costs the same as the 14 but delivers a telephoto lens that you'll find on the Pro/Pro Max and that's just ridiculous.

Not surprised at all, Samsung and Apple do this all the time.

Samsung keeps shouting how their Flip 5 and Fold 5 are “same price”, in US dollars yes but here the Flip 5 went from (launch price) €1049 to €1199 and Fold 5 from €1799 to €1899.

And this while dollar is weaker than euro now, compared to last year.

With Android you can get Apple like phone but with fast charging, fingerprint sensor, cheaper price and those sweet emulators which you cannot get on Apple devices.

Imagine when starts using exmor T next year, ehen imx903 will cost 2x the imx989.

SixSeis, 27 Jul 2023If it is to increase the price, I hope that at least there ... moreIt will also have a change to the screen, in that there will be a 95% head-to-body-ratio, giving it the slimmest bezels for a phone ever. I assume that also means that the camera cutout will have slimmer bezels and will mean that the selfie camera is a 1/2.8"-type rather than the 1/3.1"-type that the iPhone 14 Pro Max has. It will also have the A17 Bionic SoC, which will be a lot more efficient and a lot better in performance, and will have ray-tracing support. There will also be a 6× periscope telephoto sensor. Finally, there will be an almost 5000mAh-capacity battery.

Still, it's very much not an exciting or sensible upgrade IMO. The bezels being that thin is really nice, but I for one would never buy a device just for that alone. Also, I don't like iOS, the iPhone camera post-processing, or Apple in general, but that's a different matter. My point, though, is that this is a garbage upgrade, and it gets worse when you consider the ridiculous price increase, and the fact that only the iPhone 15 Pro Max will get the 6× periscope telephoto sensor, while the iPhone 15 Pro won't. The iPhone 15 Pro will stick to the garbage 3× telephoto that it's had since the iPhone 13 Pro, so now Apple is not giving the same features to the small version either. That's a completely garbage move, and this is coming from someone who prefers 6.7" smartphones than smaller sizes.

Whatever Master Fruit asks, I shall giveth to them.

How crazy is the price of a flagship now.. in 2015 it was selling for $600 and a flagship killer was only $300.

This rumor has been around since before the iPhone 11 Pro. Prices are much less likely to leak, and can be changed very late in the development. It‘s entirely possible this is just guesswork.

The price hike is just one more thing keeping me from ever buying an iPhone Pro, I’ll stick with the non-pros thank you very much

Congrats to Tim Apple. He can increase price every year and still sell more phones than last year.

At this point I'll be more surprise if they ever stop increasing prices.

For that price it better be a good damn upgrade over the 14.

When the EU removable battery law comes into force, you'll be required to buy the battery separately because Apple won't include it in the iPhone's box 😂

If it is to increase the price, I hope that at least there is some decent change because, apart from the change in the screen, main camera and selfie, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max is not such a step forward from the 13 Pro and Pro Max, I just hope that change to USB C and put a decent load, that's the minimum.

The poor camel's back gets heavier with each passing day. One day the straw-apple will break it and then it will be too little too late.
