Just watch some videos in YouTube it is much better than the prores of pro iPhones.

The cameras on the flagship Xperia's always review and benchmark as mediocre among other current flagships which is hilarious as they mostly use Sony sensors. Nearly every other phone at such an expensive price point will take better photos than the 1V and without the over complicated apps.

If I want to play with shutt... moreIf you shoot with your camera then you don't play with shutter, ISO, aperture or whatever because you already know how your camera works and you have an idea what you want from your shot so you just routinely adjust two or three parameters, focus being one of them, and start shooting. With video cameras it's even simpler cause you have Picture Profiles where you store your favorite image adjustments for certain shots/scene (what phone users here call computational photography when they describe point and shoot)

If I want to play with shutter speed, focus, ISO or aperture, I take a dedicated camera that has much better image quality. And even though I know very well how to do it, most of the time I use aperture priority mode on my camera, because it simply works perfectly.
I even have a film camera, you probably would not even know how to turn it on. So, please, if you want to talk about "dysfunct generation", count yourself in, when you take photos with phone.

You do not see difference between variants (8/12/16) on any phone.
DRAM outside cmos does not boosts its capabilities. Nor improve buffer. 🤦🏻♂️
Phone is made to act like A9, you ask 8fps just to have frame stacking for DNG? 🤦🏻♂️
Want it to do it while doing eye AF, tracking and adjusting focus 3x per frame?
Owners of A7r5 would give anything to have 15fps@61MP. You have no idea how crap 8 is.
There are limits on what phone can do. Just because 8g2 is stronger than BionzXr , does not mean certain things can be done equally. There are things 8g2 can do that Xr cannot, things Xr allows that 8g2 does not.
Should demand other phones do this too.
2023 and they do not even have AF for burst.
The 2017 XZ premium has this.
If you plan to use dng, it means you plan to edit the photo.
Zero point is stack frames if you are going to play with exposure in the end.
Even the crap JN1 on my phone can easily have it fixed by sliding it down to - 0,5 EV. No need to raise shadows.
Frame stacking there is always risk of misaligned frames (as much you deny that phones like pixel and iphone often do it).
By the way, while ago phone arena had article that mentions HDR is to blame because white contour around subject. Another "feature" you dont believe HDR brings. 🤷🏻♂️
First claimed Pixel and Samsung could do DNG HDR at full res (50 and 108). I had to bring evidence it was false, that both do not even do HDR raw for 12,5MP mode.
Now claim xiaomi and vivo do too. Well, guess I have to look for evidence that is false too, poor me 😓, there goes my sunday.
I truly hope your boss replaces your iphone with 15 pro max.
48MP 1/2" 96mm periscope. With option to use 12MP at 192mm (like the 48mm from 24).
So you can use it for video/photos, but later tell me your huawei is one used for these tasks.

Sony's camera knowledge makes an impression on the phone, improvements stop image overprocessing and the lens leaves a lot to be desired, android's biggest downside is updates and actually uninstalling anything you don't want, sony does a good job

I'm seeing some nice features. One area where android really lacks is the camera (specifically software). On iPhone there are some really cool and updated camera apps that have such features but on android there're only two or three camera apps that are not trash. Looking forward to how the shots from the Sony turn out.

Sony phones Don't sell well cz we are a dysfunctional generation who want to be fed by the ai/algorithms . We don't want to to take a pic , we want ai to decide the iso andshutter speed . Kind of tasteless life if you ask me
I Don't know why everyone flexing their iphone . Like yo you do realize they are selling you just fancy softwares right? AI can never take a better pic than a man .

This can be said for phones from all the other manufacturers, but not being able to burst shoot in RAW severely limits the manual mode's usefulness - Is it really that difficult for them to implement at least something like an 8fps continuous RAW shooting option up to 5 seconds or so since flagship phones nowadays have 12-16GB of RAM that can be used as a buffer + internal storage with good write speed to clear it up quickly?
Sony's camera app needs to support multi-frame RAW mode, which would definitely come in handy especially when shooting low-light landscape shots. When Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo can do it, I don't see any reason Sony wouldn't be able to do the same.
