YUKI93, 31 Jul 2023As a former Samsung Galaxy Fold owner, I can easily say tha... moreDid not try fold yet (lie why if camera specs are miserable) but having a tablet like size, even if I compare it to 8" tablets, you can see web pages and pictures more easily, there is also more options to see a screen when using cameras in weird angles.
If I could choose from available folds, it would be either mate x2 or vivo x fold.
Most of folds now rely on heavy ads and there is nothing camera centric about them, making it a joke as next generation device.
Foldable device with specs similar to samsung's s23ultra was released 2.5 years back and now goes for 2800-3800 euro. Still worth buying even for that money, more than some ''toyfold''. Shame I would get poor warranty and googless OS, I would buy right now otherwise.

The S23 ultra 256gb release price was £1249, and for the first month you got upgraded 512gb storage option for the price of the 256gb model, that price then went back up to £1399 for 512gb and has stayed there in most retail outlets, nowhere in the UK will you buy a brand new S23 ultra 512gb on the high street or UK online store for £900-950 without some promotion or import

So no Samsung fans are still paying less than other companies

vrvly, 30 Jul 2023Dual screen would help a lot now, folds are just too useles... moreAs a former Samsung Galaxy Fold owner, I can easily say that I never miss going back to foldable phones after I sold it for my current LG V50. I find dual display solution to be far more practical and flexible than foldable phones, especially if it can be detachable like LG's Dual Screen case.
The reality of foldable phones (and also tablets) is that most apps aren't still well-optimized for larger screens in the first place. By contrast, dual display allows you to use any apps you want simultaneously in a more typical smartphone aspect ratio, hence removing any worries about unoptimized apps.
Also, you can screen split the main screen to have three app window. I heard from several V60 owners that screen splitting also works on its Dual Screen case, giving four app window flexibility.

not a necessary resolution at all. you need a 65" or bigger TV so see the difference of 8K. nobody has such TVs. they are less than in 1% in the market. besides, it is almost impossible to store all contents in 8K high bitrate videos due to huge file size. if your job is content creation, then you need a more advanced camera, not a smartphone to do that.
I tried 4K high bitrate on my s23 and saw no difference when disabling it. file size was 300% in high bitrate though.
