They are looking desperate now... I wonder whether they also paid the reviewers to bash the GS4's build quality. I held the GS4, it's not half as bad as these "reviewers" are making it to be.

For me, who cares about the plasticky feel of the Galaxy S4? User replaceable battery always trumps aluminium unibody sealed battery design in my books

Eh, I'd prefer a more durable phone (polycarbonate) than a fancy phone that chips and scratches.

If people want aesthetics over durability, that's fine.

I have the HTC One and having owned the S3 previously, I have to say I am very pleased with the phone. Reviews only go so far. Most reviewers either have beta phones and/or have very little time to play with the phone. Using the One is a breeze and its super fast. The camera quality knocks anything else out of the water literally when it comes to low light. I am loving taking superior pics to everyone else on my nights out. Daytime pics are good too as long as you aint gonna zoom in. No probs with the HTC One for me!

Yes the aluminium frame is nice to behold and handle. For 2 weeks maybe. Then ask anyone that owned a metal casing phone. You will get scratchmarks and ugly buckles (when dropped. And trust me drop it you will..).

But hey lets not stop there, lets look at SAR values. Almost double (0,4W VS 0,86W) Any guesses why? Thats cos metals is an excellent shield. Which is why the phone must pump up the effect, straight into your head.

So ask yourself again. After two weeks, how nice will it be to have a scratched up case that also poses a higher risk for your health?

online viewers can debate that as much as they want, at least Samsung knows how to make great plastic. In 2 years time, I have yet to gather any nasty scratches nor break my SGS2 casing.

When reading the comments i even smiled when i saw people saying sgs4 is better in every way, the plastic is better than aluminium, sgs4 is so much different from s3 and all that kind of crap. Guys, are you serious, or are you just a couple of guys writing here from samsung HQ with different names?

I actually got a chance to play around with sgs4 a few days ago. What can I say, the only thing I liked was the new screen, it's really good. Everything else is more or less the same as GS3 + a load of bloatware. Nice. The design still sucks, build quality still sucks. And the worst part (I could't even believe my eyes).. IT LAGS! A flagship with 1.9 GHz quad-core freakin' lags.. I saw stuttering in the UI, and big pauses when opening apps or settings. Now you cannot put the blame to the unfinished software and stuff, because it's already in retail stores. I expected much more from it.

So yeah, HTC one is the leader at the moment, it has premium build&feel, unique design, flawless performance, smooth UI, stereo speakers and the list goes on and on. I even prefer htc's SLCD 3 screen much better than any amoled out there.

And check out this review http://pocketnow.com/2013/04/25/samsung-galaxy-s-4-or-htc-one , these guys opinions look quite sincere to me. Cheers.

One x build quality/ materials was also superior to GS3 but failed so horribly against the GS3 in sales that HTC replaced it with a One x+, which met the same fate against the Samsung. No reason to expect HTC One to beat the GS4 due to build materials. I also highly doubt the HTC software beats that of the Samsung. Then again, HTC has to remain positive, right ?

Reviewers cut it some slack because it's a bold move towards a whole new realm of camera technology. I have a feeling an 8 Mega Ultra Pixels (MUP?) is in the works and should be out soon. Then it will be more interesting.

So sales have been brisk, I wonder why, cough, cough. The plastic, cough, cough S4 will sell more units one it's initial launch than the metal HTC ONE will ship in it's lifetime. And what is it with people and the metal design thing anyway, from my view 8 out of ten people I see outside with smartphones have a case on them, as do I on my S3. Also the S4 is lighter than the HTC ONE, with removable battery and micro SD expansion slot, no need for the cloud to access my movies and music, all are in my Micro SD cards, why should I have to purchase a movie and only be able to watch it on the cloud, if I am going to spend $15 on a movie I might as well get the DVD, use www.dvdcatalyst.com , burn it to my computer then to my portable media device of my choice, then to my micro SD card, and able to watch it whenever and wherever I want, same for my high resolution music.

Like I said in previous posts, HTC will never learn, which in the end will be their downfall, as a previous HTC owner I have nothing personal against the company, and hope they suceed, but what has turned me and many others off their recent products is, no micro SD card support, no removable battery and their software updates are real slow, heck their new flagship device is shipping with 4.1.2 JB while the new S4 will ship with 4.2.2. I can tell you this much, if the HTC One had a micro sd card slot and removable battery and came on Verizon, I wuld get one, no questions asked, the design of the phone is nice but at the end of the day, it all comes down to functionality. Most people will buy the ONE due to it's fantastic design, but I want to see what these people will have to say 6-12 months down the line, where you will hear, damn I wish I had expandable memory and a removable battery, same thing happened to their ONE X, the phone got great reviews, but in the end those two issues where it's downfall, same thing happened to the Droid DNA on Verizon, not enough storage, or removable battery, sorry but a removable battery on a mini computer is a must in my book, knowing that if I run out of juice all I have to do is pop open the back and just install a fresh batter, which takes less than 30 seconds to accomplish. And having to carry around one or two small batteries in your pants pocket or bag is better than running out of juice and not being able to use your phone "not everyone is constantly around an outlet", for someone like myself who is always out and about in NYC, it's a must.
