Bandwagon mentality. Actually, in a few years, we will wonder how phones used to operate on only 24GB of RAM. Let's learn something from history and not be quick to dismiss progress due to limited application og thought and foresight. There was a time waterproofing was considered a gimmick. Now it's basic. Very recently we thought 4K screens on a phone is overkill - we are changing that. There was a time we wondered why a phone would need 12GB of RAM, yet here we are. Now, the monster RAM is behind the highest Antutu score ever. We, armchair geniuses are still arguing and criticising groundbreaking engineers... Well, I got news for you: you are neither trained nor qualified to give your "expert" opinion. It's a unique lack of self-awareness to consider some of these opinions to be better than those of engineers who have finally managed to fit 1TB + 24GB in something this small, making one of the most powerful phones ever made.

Apple uses only 6 GB for Pro Max, and still is one of the fastest phones in the world.

It just need to unlock HRR gaming as all of BBK devices restrict most of games at just 60Hz despite being able/support for HRR.
For Video editing that much RAM is not of much use.
This phone isn't gonna run many apps in background as typically Chinese smartphone brands aggressively crush background activity,rendering its huge RAM useless.
Its all just marketing plot,bigger numbers make people believe that their phone is faster.

... moreAndroid is RAM hog,everyone knows that but there is a limit,what if someone put 1TB RAM in Android,then are you gonna say the same?
24GB is already overkill,doesn't matter how many apps you use simultaneously.
It's pretty obvious that most of the smartphones despite having sufficient free RAM,can't maintain many apps in background as battery management.
And I'm pretty sure that Oxygen OS being based on Colour OS,is going to crush background activity eventually.So what is the use of having so much memory.
& Final argument maybe for futureproofing,but again its nonesense.Typical smartphone don't last beyond 3-4 years of use you'll have to visit service centre beyond that period.for 3-4 years 12GB is enough,for heavy users 16GB is enough.
Beyond that its waste of resources just to make high numbers to fool people that higher RAM means faster performance.

This is the phone King of all phones what if google maded phone with these specs but sudhar pichai not learning how to make phones baby steps taking sundar pichai please leave alphabet you are not welcome in USA u just earning money nothing else not thinking about future smartphones still providing 8gb ram only you should provide in this century 1gb ram and 4 gb internal storage in pixel 8 pro ok intelligent people but mind not working only providing single sim their is no space in phones we can't provide dual sim chinese phones maker are illiterate still they providing dual sim better than you.
Ultimate phone need this one 24GB RAM and 1TB Storage Movies, Music etc. easily 500 GB gb music 350 GB Movies. Great Keep it up OnePlus.

The second thing is that Chinese phones do not have memory management optimization and so applications will be thrown out of RAM anyway

Looks like a beast of a phone for those who are heavy mobile gamers or do extensive video editing! The new Tiangong cooling system is claimed to reduce the heat, stress on the CPU GPU considerably more than any other current cooling system currently in a phone. Upcoming OnePlus 12 is rumoured to also use the same Tiangong cooling system.
