Txindoki, 06 Aug 2023The original Sony PlayStation, which was released in 1994, ... moreYeah im telling you why the people call it the psx.

The biggest problem was that Sony didn't go all in with emulators. These devices didn't flop because of their design or weight. They flopped because Sony hates emulators, even though they were a big part of the entire deal with these tablets. Had Sony ported their PlayStation games or emulated them through an official emulator, the devices would've had something unique that was wanted by tons of people. Sony was just too bone-headed to see.

Mediatek sux, 06 Aug 2023Psx is the codename of ps1The original Sony PlayStation, which was released in 1994, is often referred to as the "PSX" by some fans and collectors. This informal nickname was never an official name given by Sony, and it's not widely used to describe the original PlayStation. The official abbreviation used by Sony for the original PlayStation is "PS1."

Mediatek sux, 06 Aug 2023I still got my sp, the touchscreen doesnt work very well, e... moreThat's cool. Unfortunately I sold my SP due to software being stuck on Jelly Bean and it was getting outdated. But on XDA there are lots of unofficial ROMs for it running as late as Nougat maybe even Oreo. Should've kept it I guess because it's such a relic an amazing phone. Haven't tried any extra lights app for it but I know there were a lot out there to enhance the feature
Earlier Sony phones had these lights too, like Xperia P and T and so on but none other did it better than sp because that was RGB and others were mostly just a boring white
The phone also had a two stage dedicated camera shutter button back then and the charging port was on the side and altho the battery wasn't removable the back panel was. Man those earlier Sony phones were crazy

It's truly unfortunate that Sony didn't invest more into the mobile gaming market a lot more. They had the right idea at the time, but they weren't sure if it would work out at the time. I feel like they should've kept pushing it a bit more. They were a bit ahead, but the technology was gatekeeping them at the time.

I don't think it's too late for them, if they can still come out with a mobile gaming device, but then again they've already focused themselves for 3 different models + a PRO series.

And ppl here thought that microsoft device was an original idea.
                            😂😂😂😂😂

                              Did you mean... the PS1?
The PSX was an expensive DVD player/recorder with a built in PS2. It was never sold outside Japan. For some reason, people always messing the PSX with the original PlayStation.

Microsoft did one mistake with dual screen, that is when looking at first concept(or fan made one) named surface phone, you could see a waterfall screen with no edge almost touching second one, making it visually like connected.
Real phone was like that sony dual screen one. Not to mention, cameras as a main part of any mobile device were..., actually even weren't there.
Sony did the right thing to make a phone more like pro camera, tho it still looks more like vlog one.
Microsoft did a great move with play anywhere tho, be it mobile games or games played on mobile phone, play anywhere can now do both with controller or touch.
Now, microsoft could do their folding phone with Win OS, but if sony can do play anywhere alternative, I don't even see them trying.
VR set ups may be the next thing, as you will get as big screen as you want before eyes, but there wont be need for too much battery and weight, since that ''big screen'' you see will use just small sized hw before your eyes.
Considering how pricy phones are now, we may see more people wearing those iGlasses soon.
Sony could bring something like that, even if they do not lead in mobile sector, since they are interested in VR. But for that they would need to merge mobile and playstation division and bring a play anywhere alternative(if they want to run all games and do not ruin battery or weight of device).
                                Good luck to them tho.
