There is no chipset fa... morelol what? yes there are and on the contrary the 7840u chips (that z1 extreme is based on) on all the other pc handhelds such as the gpd win 4 7840u version, ayaneo 1s and 2s, aokzoe a1, onexfly, etc have actually all performed better/netting higher fps results than the rog ally, maybe after eventual amd driver updates the z1e can net similar results, but saying there is nothing better than rog ally is straight false, plus most of these have the faster ram setup than the rog, many also have hall effect input unlike rog, only thing rog can be praised on in comparison is the vrr capabilities of the display which the others lack, onexfly for example also has a 120hz display, but isn't vrr...so yeah plz don't comment unless u have done your research

Meaning not matter who produces PC handhelds they cannot get any faster than Ally Rog at the moment, they can only match it. The only way to go faster would be buying real gaming laptop.

I can build one, even an RTX desktop but then what's the point if I can only use it at home? What an expensive dust collector.

"The handheld console market has gone through a renaissance after the incredible success of the Nintendo Switch." Nintendo has always been successful with its handheld consoles. The Game Boy sold over 118 million units. The GBA sold over 81 million units. The DS sold over 154 million units. The 3DS sold over 75 million units. Yes, the 3DS era is a decline compared to the DS era, but the handheld console market has always been healthy. The Switch is a hybrid console, by the way. The Switch Lite, which is a handheld console, is the worst selling model of the Switch by a huge margin.

But since its in a phone it needs to be even more efficient. Geekerwans video about the exynos 2100 explains some stuff.

You can get 60fps+ in many titles with FSR (plugged in 30w). The state is same as any other gaming laptop, you just need to be plugged in to get most out of demanding titles. So far I'm loving my Ally. For outdoor use, a 65w power bank supplies all the power it needs. A gaming laptop is more powerful, and a desktop PC is even powerful. But can you use any of them when commuting in a a car, bus, subway, etc? No way a 30w device is gonna deliver the same power as a 300w PC. But you don't need so much power and fps to enjoy most games, and do basic tasks.

A lot of these devices already existed for a long time but it's only during the Deck release when mainstream reviewers are finally hopping into the bandwagon. Portables and mini pcs have their own market that isn't satisifed by desktops and laptops.
