      Jacking up "base" internal storage at premium prices just seems to be a way to increase margin than being convenient to the user. And it's not just Apple at fault here.

Every year the tech is less impressive but prices go up........i purchased a 12 mini 3 months ago.......I'm sock of it already......i was out by pool today on vacation......can’t even see the screen with sun.....and no sun........hahahah. Id say the iPhone is like 3 years behind the times......the 12 mp camera is junk.....horrible family photos at dinner......no ultra wide camera or zooming....

I don't spending an extra 10 dollar a month it's just a good deal for me.

                Honestly I'll never understand who needs terabytes of storage in their phones. Insane. Especially in iPhones that aren't aimed at the crowd who tends to carry full size movies or albums with them.

                If you're into filming 8K or something, you probably already have a purpose build device with an output quality (still) unmatched by anything that make calls.

                Really there's no reasons for terabytes SKUs to exist if not maybe for bragging rights. But then again who cares how much storage you have in your phone ? People don't even care about your phone in the first place.

                Even as a die hard nerd myself I couldn't care less about a terabyte iPhone.
                I don't get it.

MicroSD speeds are too slow. i have an Xperia and all my large files are stored internally. I have iphones and iPads at 1TB, I will definitely but a 2TB. mostly for camera and lossless/hires music. Sometimes Mid-band 5g loads music slowly, I like it instantly when I am driving

                      I have a question for you my dear friends. What is the best choice. Every year a 200$ used or neu smartphone. And use it for one year only and give it as a gift to a member of my family. Or a 1300$ phone every 4 to 5 year?

Gaming itself is still going to be a much better experience using a PC. Even if a phone's hardware is more similar to a phone, a PC's raw power can make it run fine...and under sustained load.

                          A portable SSD is a viable alternative and easily pays, for itself in saved icloud 1 years fees, however not an Apple workaround.

                          Phones with MicroSD expansion are the least expensive to expand storage.
                          I do know that the Samsung A range and the Xperia 1 V (possibly other Xperia) supports 1 Tb memory cards.

                          An increasing number of flagship phones no longer have memory expansion, some of these do have OTG essentially an "umbilical cord" expansion linked to a USB stick

                          There is no reason for Apple to increase the price, $100 for 1Tb is unwarranted

                          I accept Apple for what it is a competitor, it drives Android phone makers to keep striving forward.

                          I do feel that most are doing this , however some have taken chapters from the Apple playbook.

                          That said the competition within Android hopefully limits this practice

                              The aspect ratios are a joke on phones, not to mention nonsense like curved screens.
                              Apps are made for touch screen, not for mouse/keyboard usage.

                              Even Samsung Dex is a rare sight out in the wild.

                                        Also, best games are not implied to be 4K or Ultra realistic things... an old SNES game might be an excellent game.
