Even through I own a plugin, fairly efficient one, I like to travel through the town on my small, 15 kg eScooter - when you don't need to pick groceries, kids, weather is nice it is always nice to have an alternative. Would love to buy a decent bike, but the one I like is a bit as expensive, so maybe next year.

I don't use car, thus don't use both.
I use metro which stays sometimes full vacant and sometimes full congested as my home is within 1 km walking distance near the last stop of metro in my city.

External CarPlay screens that you can mount on your dash is the only thing I need. It works with every car with no installation needed and you keep the stock display

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2023I have both as passport is a backup when you get pickpocket... moreIt is incredibly easy, it would take you like an hour of your time. You simply pick a near office that has a permission to make a new ID and if you are in hurry, you will get new ID in 24 hours (cost more), if you are not in hurry it would take 5⇾30 days.
It pretty much works the same across the whole EU.

I would use Android Auto more often if that damn thing would actually work as it should, in real life its "always something" with it. I can connect it wireless, but its not stable at all and sometimes It just refuse to connect(even if literally 5min ago it was connected), if I use cable and put phone in wrong place gps signal is tragic or it disconnect without a reason. Google maps work like employee that just put his resignation on desk and dont care anymore about doing his job for rest of the day. Apps for Android Auto are joke as probably more than 90% of ones that work with it are podcast/music.
And worst part with Android Auto is that it work like Printer... IT KNOW WHEN YOU ARE IN HURRY. And when it sense that you are in a rush, you plug your phone... and it slow as hell , cant find gps signal, loop it self in connection, or magically cable that worked find now is not compatible with it...

I don't care, this is childish. All i really need is bluetooth for the music and when i need gps (rarely), i use my phone with a holder. So i don't need to worry about compatibility or anything else. And it's unlikely anybody would want to steal such a basic system.

I even don't have a car so can't comment. The only form of transportation I have is an e-scooter that can get up to 45km/h, which is awesome. Can really take me anywhere.
It's funny because my coworker thinks e-scooters are cringe and asked me why don't I get a car. But if you really think about it, (gas) cars are more cringy because they pollute the air. And like a person below said, it's a bigger liability. So jokes on him.

Anonymous, 13 Aug 2023Auto manufacturers can create their proprietary system alon... moreyes, majority are proprietary systems but with connectivity of andriod auto and apple carplay as optional extras via phone bluetooth or wired connection, no everyones wants it though as every one has different requirements, it's like streaming audio or native support of usb audio esp for lossless format, some people don't care, but others will love and appreicate it, example, I really like using 256gb usb drive with lossless flac even high resolution files (96 khtz 24bit) on my tesla model y, my wife just prefers spotify but she is annoyed with current firmware which don't show the album art anymore

I prefer Android Auto as Google Assistant is better than Siri, but since Google cannot fix a bug that routes audio from calls to the phone instead of the car’s speakers, it makes Android Auto dangerous. I will have to switch to iOS/CarPlay.

Android auto is a must have, but I like having built-in navigation as a backup. I drive to very remote regions with no cell signal fairly often so it's good to have an offline backup.
