              It's all about paying top money for a lesser product. Are you really saying paying $1499 for a phone with the same spec as a $149 phone?? I still have a grain of skepticism that Apple wouldn't be crazy enough to bottleneck the performance like this but i wouldn't be surprised either.

              Perhaps i'm a rare breed that wants to push/use the thing to its limits rather than mindlessly scrolling on Socmed and keep up with the Joneses like majority of people.

Android uses about 40% more RAM for apps because of Java virtual machine. But average user shouldn't care about this because RAM now cheap as dirt, especially slower ones. That's why chinese can put 16-24 GB of RAM. Just to attract buyer, not because Android needs so much memory

                  Why do Iphone need more RAM ? It cant even open safari and calculator at the same time… even when iphone start using always on display the problematics has occur and battery drain fast etc.. while android needs more RAM for more multitasking activities that even iphone cant handle it thats why they didnt do it on iphone..

                    With INTEL and AMD it's easy have 2 motherboards that have all same hardware on them as ram, graphics and ssd with same operation system. Just cpu are different cause they are physically different and cant just flip the cpu on a motherboard.

                    Snapdragon and Mediatek is also easy to compare as they run on Android.

                    Bionic and M are made only to run on apple devices and specifically optimized to run there specific operation system and hardware features.

                    Snapdragon 8 gen 2 there are a lot of phones with that and all have different features with different cameras and so on with also ram that goes from like 6GB to 16GB

                    So how do we have a fair comparison when we cant have a motherboard where we just change the cpu/gpu chip to test what is the best out of them all ?

                    Also same chip on different phones show different scores in all of the benchmark programs

Their Dex mode is RAM taxing. And despite is archaic, is at least far better than Chrome OS. I'd put it on Windows XP or Vista experience tier.

                          Current flagships have lpddr5x ram vs lpddr5 in the 14 pro max (a16 bionic) so theoretically android flagships have faster ram.

                              I get the fact that ios don't need 8gb ram but using lpddr5 in 2023 is ridiculous when you're paying $1000+. Seems like apple is using the fact that Android 's not catching up as an excuse to not push new technology smh

                                      For those who are going to complain about the RAM, just remember, it's not about the RAM size. It's about optimization of the software. This is iOS. Even a 6GB RAM iPhone can possibly run faster than a 12GB RAM Android.

                                        Best chips are from brands that let you have freedom of choice and dont restrict you under one platform. Intel, AMD, SnapDragon, Mediatek all doo chips to cover what ever device you want to build basically and run on them android or windows or linux and so on
