AnonD-134497, 01 May 20132 million units, actually its more than 2. It is seriously ... morehttp://bgr.com/2013/04/26/cell-phone-market-share-q1-2013-467162/

Bottom line.

One-time market leader Nokia continued to see the past slip away, as first-quarter mobile phone shipments plummeted to 61.9 million units from 82.7 million in the year-ago quarter. Nokia’s market share also dipped, of course, from 21.9% in Q1 2012 to 16.6% in Q1 2013.

If this is doing well what constitues doing badly I wonder?

By the way, changing the name from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone cannot hide the fact MS have been trying to get in to the mobile market for years.

i think Nokia go for cheaper Lumia(may not be named lumia) actually i want to say Nokia may/can move the market trend and should go for low cost Windows OS 8 based new range starts from Rs5000INR.... with neccessory hard ware.....
because the market trend is changed now....Andoroid is going to bore..d..... now because you purchase a rebranded fake chinees touch android at Rs2000inr or may be you buy a premium android at Rs30000INR the defrence is in HardWare only....so boring.... but in case of Windows..... we all/whole world using it from 20 years+ but still NEW..... so i think Nokia should maintain their market leadership in next 12 - 18 months... and now today's Samsung is in at their peak position(i am sorry i do not want to downgrade samsung)but......
    okay...
    WAIT..... n Watch.....

While Nokia insist, with Flop at the helm, on doing nothing but Windows devices, they are shifting deck chairs around on the Titanic. If they are willing to take on Android and possibly take Blackberry under license then they stand a chance. While they insist single handedly on an O/S that has a minimal market share and has done for several years they are simply wasting their time ultimately. HTC, Samsung, LG etc all manage to embrace multiple platforms, why can Nokia not do the same? Other than arrogant pride from a position of strength they no longer have, I see no other logical answer.
