In other news,
A vast number of iPhone users have complained about their iPhone 14 losing battery health way too much in less than a year. So much for a phone that's made to last for years. The battery can't even last 2 year without replacing lol

Their Home app is not working properly and the Siri does not work properly so phone is behind android the feature they’re bringing in android or have them. My friend has Samsung Galaxy. His camera is so good iPhone cameras not even nearby and they’re talking about to increase the price so prices are too high.

George399, 17 Aug 2023Except for the "very best" part, that's is j... moreThat's what they want you to believe. You pay very high prices because you're getting the very best. In fact, they repeat that every year in the presentation of iPhone "this is our BEST iphone ever!"
Of course, it should be the best ever, because it has to be at least a bit better than the previous model, duhhhh

It's sales gimmicks, create hype of short supply then middle men's exploit, prices plus for each piece. Apple's only product left to reach for prestige. Maybe end game n sight

Sam Sung, 17 Aug 2023Instead of lowering price, let's cut the production of... moreLowering prices by 10% requires more units sold , by margin superior to 10% if you do the math.
$80-100 less is bot gonna make apple sell 19-20 million units more to compensate.

Sam Sung, 17 Aug 2023Instead of lowering price, let's cut the production of... moreCause, they don't want to give people the idea "Apple is company that lowers prices and does discounts". They're not like that. Want to keep the premium mentality associated, expensive, top of the line etc Like Rolls and Bentley, there's no price cuts or discounts or promos! "Pay for it if you have the money and rest assured you have the very best" haha

It will be even pricier than 14 series and because of that it will sell much less.
If Apple continues to increase prices some people will just switch to android phones which offer better specs for much less money.
I know people who are not buying used phones and they are going to ditch Apple because the prices.

Ming-Chi Kuo is A LIAR who said earlier this month Iphone 15 shipments will fall, but it's in stark contrast to his earlier report claiming that total iPhone 15 shipments will be stable.

Ottonis, 17 Aug 2023Generally, the smartphone market has been reaching a ceilin... moreYou guys demand SoC on pair with intdl i7 gen 12, screens with 3000 nits and 165Hz, volume of 120dB, cameras able to record 8/12/16K video, 24/30GB ram ..
Cant stay 30 min without touching the phone, the addiction to check posts on social media every 5 min and spend 3-4h daily on silly games instead of something useful.
But in the end, battery gets blamed for this.
You think any battery tech can make phone last 100h while being used often? Because on-screen time is no more than 1/3 of total endurance.

Crap statment. Brands do not do more because ppl are not willing to pay what it would cost. Not because they are not able to do.

More like the nature of just in time production. Why keep making tons of units without reasons? Apple has tighter control over inventory than other OEMs, and they tend not to overstuff their channels with inventory. So increasing and decreasing production in real-time is not uncommon. Only the pretend-analysts always try to make up news out of standard operating procedure, and the tech bloggers are running on it with made up speculations.

Real reason- ip15 is tiny upgrade from ip14. Users who have ip14 or 13 are not interested. Maybe next year ip16 will generate more interest.

Generally, the smartphone market has been reaching a ceiling for quite some time - in terms of technological advancement as well as in terms of sheer market share size.
There is only a finite number of people actually able to afford high-end phones north of 1000-1500 USD, and the generational incremental improvements in overall usability, speed, productivity and comfort of use, are so tiny, that it just isn't woorth getting a new phone every year or even every 2-3 years.
What can an iphone 14 do that an iphone 13 cannot? And what have you been able to do with an iphone 13 but couldn't do with an iphone 12?
Yes, an iphone 14 makes slightly better photographs and videos compared to a 5y old iphone X - for sure. But my 4y old P30 pro makes photos of similar quality as any current android flagship.
Any smartphone from 2017 and onward can play music and movies as fluid and drispy as a modern iPhone 14 or Samsung 23.
And any smartphone from 2011 and onwards is just as productive as a current flagship phone when it gets to checking emails, WhatsApp messages, or taking notifications from the calendar.
The smartphone market will indeed need a disruptive new technology improvement - how about an entirely new battery technology, allowing on-screen-times not just of 6-10 hours (as current phones do) but 30-40h per charge?
Just imagine a smartphone that needs to be charged only once per week despite being used heavily every day... now that would make people buy new phones!
But getting a new phone because it has a few points more in the latest AnTuTu test is not interesting to anybody.
