If moto can drop a foldable phone at $600 range with a flat almost creaseless screen and a 4300 battery i would think they should step up the battery and screen game. But samsung has gotten so big they rarely listen to consumer needs anymore.

Forget the 50MP Camera ... let me know when Samsung Dex will be FULLY supported on the Z Flip series!
I just got the S23 from my mobile carier, when I could've got the Flip 5 for the same intro $0 down .... but Samsung says no Dex on Flip 5 due to managing sustained performance due to lack of heat support. Maybe wiht the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 with graphene plate under a full sized vapour chamber will ber in the Flip 6.

I imagine this phone will get either slighly thicker or wider to accomdate bigger cameras and batteries as well as exp-and it's thermals. Some reviewers have noted that this device does get rather hot and it's likely why dex wasn't implemented

Foldable phones should consider about removing the selfie cameras because there is secondary display,so we buyers can take better picture with rear camera

With rumors about s26u 320mp camera and 440mp camera in R&D, why not. Do not expect over 1" in those badly made folds.

Hopefully Samsung will give a much bigger battery capacity at around 4000mAh minimum and proper DeX support. Just having wired video output is not enough to sway me away from the Motorola RAZR 2022.

Thanks for the concerns, but no it isn't.
"..consumers don’t have problems buying Samsung phones."
True, they have problems after they already bought it.
"Why do you care.."
Well, that question makes sense, but there is a reason for it, which is that I work in a store where I sell accessories for phones, so naturally I get a lot of people roll in with Samsung phones. Almost nobody knows that they don't get a charging brick with their phone, so that's where the problems start. Yes, that's partially the store's fault that sold them for not telling them, but Samsun isn't really talking about it either, same thing with the lack of headphone jack on some A series phones, which most customers also don't know about, but if it's a deal breaker for them they either have to take the phone back, or get an adaptor.
Sure, good for the store that they have to buy a whole bunch of things, but then there budget phone is suddenly not cheap anymore, and not everyone has the kinda money to buy a case, a screen protector and a charging brick when they just bought a Galaxy A14.

Darth Caesium, 17 Aug 2023By mainstream, do you mean that all phones will become fold... moreLet's just get this out of the way. Foldables are not going to overtake slab phone sales anytime soon. There is nothing I have read or heard that implies they will. I'm not sure why that keeps being raised. The best projection for foldables sales by 2027 is only 1/3 of slab phone sales and those projections are already off.
Mainstream is probably considered somewhere in the 30-40 million range by 2025.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2023This is why I started hating technology and tech websites. ... moreI do agree with you.
Something similar happened when the S22 was launched. The whole "tech community" managed to kill any emotion by stating that the next one was going to be so much better.
I will not pay attention anymore to phone developments until they can project a force field around the user capable of shielding even a 9mm shot from a meter away.
Until the phones will not be able to replace kevlar jackets, everything will be gibberish to me.

Yes, there are literal Apple lookalike and copy phones, but then there are plenty of curved screen phones as well, not to mention foldables and Motorola, Nokia who started it all.
I mean, I wouldn't say that Apple never innovates, but you can surely do better than what you've just mentioned. Come on.

When you take a proper look at almost every phone released in the last few years you begin to realise that if you removed the branding it would be hard to tell them apart, and unless you sit 2 phones side by side and open all the apps at exactly the same time you ain't gonna notice the miniscule difference it takes to use them. Still using and loving my Poco X3 Pro with no problems and haven't seen anything I'd rather use so will keep it for a while yet.
