Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 being tested, has a 50MP primary camera

The device, codenamed B6, is at least a year away in the future but we are happy to hear Samsung is finally upgrading the main camera to Galaxy S23 level.

    This is why I started hating technology and tech websites. The Flip 5 has barely been on the market yet people are already dreaming of a Flip 6, just like a heroin addict dreaming of a next fix. Let the people enjoy their phone for at least a month without new devices and technology. The phones take way better pictures now then ever. My own Galaxy S10e has been in service since 2019, I bought it second hand and it's going to be 2 years in my ownership soon. It will get a new battery and that's it.

Or do you mean that foldables will become true flagships while flagship bar phones will cease to exist? Or something else? Until foldables are a no-compromise affair that don't sacrifice useability (mostly a Samsung problem tbh), durability, cameras, battery life or weight, they will remain niche devices.

        Is this article just to piss people off who just bought the flip 5?

            The current numbers are lower than the projections, but 2025-2027 are still considered the years foldables are expected to go mainstream. This is all predicated on Apple joining the party.

            Hardware wise, we're beginning to reach a ceiling on foldables. There is still dust protection and s-pen housing. Otherwise, there aren't many surprises. In the next few years, can the other foldable manufacturers push their brand into a premium status around the globe before Samsung closes the gap on the hardware? I don't think they can, but that's their challenge. If not, Samsung will continue to dominate this segment until Apple arrives.

                                  It should use the same sensor that S23 uses. But that means the screen has to be arranged in a different way or camera holes are going to be bigger.
