I don't care about design. It isn't ugly. Just need superb hardware and cool phone overall. iPhone isn't for me. Samsung is miles better.

STT, 19 Aug 2023So, basically iPhones with Android and different camera ali... moreExactly! These are also phones, just like iPhones! Crazy how Apple isn't the only company making phones, wow.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2023Your problem is that you see phones as fashion accessories.... moreIf I can get something for less then I will. It's that simple.

Seeing Samsung to copy Meizu is really bad,
Well now Meizu brand can get some money from Samsung for copy and paste their devices.

Why everyone wants to look iphony. If I want an iPhone I would buy an iphone not a copycat that's lame & backwards. 😌

you have to suffer, 19 Aug 2023looks like meizu 20😂😂😭😭 imagine if they launched s24 ultra... moreThe article heading on its own is a statement of fact,
              (Not a criticism).

The "story" is in fact by a tipster.

Finally Gsmarena do NOT mention the any other brand itself. The source DOES
              Here goes Cut & patse
              Breaking
The middle frame design of S24 and S24+ has changed, and it has become a vertical frame design similar to iPhone. The picture shows Meizu 20, which is probably like this.

Yes and those who know phones have cited this many times, also Samsung non flagship phone.range

This is essentially a best guess effort true or not IDK

Some of the comments posted sparked an interest.
Here are two sets of phone comparisons

              https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12024&idPhone2=12083&idPhone3=12082

              https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12070&idPhone2=12074&idPhone3=12176

The S23 Ultra camera island is different to the S23+ and S23 (article just these two phones)
The camera however 'match positionaly' both Fold5 and Flip5

The torch aka camera flash is aligned with the upper most cameras.
NO water drop notch on these premium

The "A" range same three camera set up it is imbetween
              the top two lenses.

Wasn't this settled years ago FLAT or CURVED, or did SCOTUS unravel everything again?

I personally would not be bothered either way as my First Contact with any / all phones is here on this site.

As I won't be able to block you I am going out on a limb here.

If you want to look PREMIUM, walk with a PREMIUM, and talk on a PREMIUM phone

S24 range must opy Asus ROG 7. Now that is one beautiful camera island.

The vast majority will never get into or be bothered by this.
E.g there is a near country sized population of people who preordered the Galaxy Pixel Fold and still no review here.

And just in case it was misdirected I checked RT.com

Me neither, but I would never want to pay more to get the same design, paying less for it with the A series sure, that's a plus, but it's a slap in the face for the people wanting to buy the S series. Of course, the S23(+) has better cameras and a much better SOC than for example something like the A54, but if I'm paying more for something, I want to get something unique, which the S23(+) isn't, but the Ultra is, so might as well pay more for that.. and that's the point right there, all there is to it.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2023It's a different story if you don't like the look... moreI mean, yeah it does look like the cheaper models and that's intentional too. (Not the Ultra, that is entirely unique, which again is intentional.)

All phone manufacturers are out of ideas. Apple is also rounding and squaring corners every few years, as a way to pretend that it changes in some way

All phones will look the same in few years.

Actually not even that, it's just an already released (about 3 months ago) phone from another brand, Meizu.

Go ahead and buy Meizu if you want all that smoke ... yet don't get caught choking and hitting your bank accounts finale when you have NO global hardware or software support and warranty, replacement repairs for damage, and enjoy not getting language support across the UI. It MAY suit you but others lol nah.

Hopefully it will change some day.
