DarlingYext, 19 Aug 2023Yeah, really, people should start thinking a little bit mor... moreNo not really, the vast majority who would click on such an article are likely to be those to have some interest in the next Galaxy S model, and also trust that the images they are shown, are as advertised.

And I did say it looks nice, but I have no interest in Meizu phones, they are not even available where I live. Sorry that seems to bug you for some reason, but your just going to have to get over it I’m afraid 🤷

      Go square!

Yeah, and what they've actually achieved with that is, that they made their high-end S phones look like entry level A series phones. What a rip-off.

            Y'all must understand :

The days of glorious Galaxy S designs are long gone.
            Because two things :

            -Blatant Lack of competition
-Samsung trying to make their entry level Galaxy A devices looking like their high end Galaxy S phones.

Making some entry level generic e-waste looking like some original design high-end terminal is gonna be complicated. So Samsung took the other way around : Making their OG design high-end terminal looking like their entry level generic e-waste.

Thanks to this, every tech muggle who buy a Galaxy A think he's getting a taste of Galaxy S. While in reality it's Galaxy S buyers who get a taste of Galaxy A.

So now that you know it's a Meizu, it's suddenly an "obscure phone from a niche, regional brand", but it'd be amazing if it was a Samsung.

It's not about actually knowing what it is, but rather about appreciating that it's not a Samsung, yet it can still be good.

                Cool beans

Most people outside of China are going to read this article, see the line directly under the images that says ‘Galaxy S24 mockup renders’ and assume (to no great surprise) that’s indeed what they are.

But according to you what they should do instead is say ‘wait a sec, I bet those are actually pictures of some obscure phone from a niche, regional brand I have never heard off before…’

                  Really? 🤷

Oh I hope that's not like the A54 design. The sharp edges of the A54 is too sharp, very uncomfortable in hand. Seriously, we went to rounded edges because we know our body doesn't have sharp corners. It's stupid to have this sharp edge design just to copy Apple.

If Samsung did this like the A54, then the S24 is just a dud. Bad design + exynos. :(

You don't have to know what exact phone that is on the pictures to know that it's not a mockup, but a real existing already released phone. Obvius tells are the cameras and the IR blaster. Since it's obvius that it is an already existing phone and it's clear that it's not a Samsung, but something else, people shouldn't just mindlessly think that it's the next Samsung. That would mean they are okay if a company takes a design from another, but only if it's Samsung.

DarlingYext, 19 Aug 2023Absolutely not what I said.Well what then?

See, exactly how many markets was something the Meizu 20 released in? Now compare that to how many markets get the Galaxy S series. Hard to forget something most people have never heard of, seen, and cannot easily get a hold of in the first place now isn’t it…..

Samsung is treating their S series similar to A, M, F series just a little premium.

Only ultra is their flagship rest all looks same from A to S at least from the back.

Finally. Curved screens are an eyesore and a usability fiasco that needs to be forgotten. Flat screens aee superior.
