            Also, having a backup of your data is important and allows you to move and use your data from device to device, while also just having more storage in general for cheap - that's why the SD card still manages to be helpful even after 2 decades.

                just how much are they gonna differentiate the base models from the Ultra? They look more and more like the A series and now, what's the point? If I'm gonna spend this much and feel like a cheapskate I'd rather just go for an iphone

OneUI does't take that much space as you may think since most people don't give storage permission to the app it has to guess how much it may be using.

                        I like the design of the back of the phone.

                        With the flash embedded in one camera hole, it's just three camera holes and that's it. Clean looking back.

                            As many times in the past, Samsung earlier or later finally follows Apple. Rounded displej edges, flat back, flat sides. They simply do not need any design department. See the design "evolution" of the "A" series.

                                  Completely flat with nearly square corners is the best design. Everything else is a regression. For those of us that don't use a case, this gives the best way to protect the phone while also ensuring it looks striking.

A MicroSD slot that support up to 2Tb. I had a 512 card (Samsung Pro Plus) that I still use in my drone since my S23 Ultra doesn't have a MicroSD slot.
                                    120 Mb/s in write speed, the 2023 version is capable of 160 Mb/s. It's not UFS but again, for 'cold' storage, it's perfect, convenient, cheap, reliable ...
                                    Had to purchase a USB C portable SSD 😶 (that I have to carry, even if it's small, it's way larger than a MicroSD that is always in the phone and can act as a USB drive if needed)
