Sony Xperia 5 V is launching on September 1

I think Sony has really been insecure in finding the best possible way on how to differentiate their flagship (the Xperia 1) from the "midranger". They started out with making the Xperia 5 technically almost identical to the flagship, except more compact and cheaper.
Then they tried to separate them more by offering different types of cameras on the rear (60 mm in the 5 vs 100+mm on the 1).
It seems, that they will try to further increase the gap between the 1 and the 5 by cutting away the whole tele module - just as the iPhone 14 vs 14 pro/max.

Now, the great question is: will they leave the main rear WA camera as is (the new 1/1.4" sensor) or will they replace it with something cheaper and less capable?

We will see....

    Imagine removing the telephoto camera then boasting about the cameras. Go away Sony

        48mm option by cropping center, like iphone 14 pro.

            Should cancel it.

            1v has some upgrades over 1 iv, still no price increase.
            5v has lost 60mm cam, still same price of 5iv.

            Design is very girly. Primo video is silly and too colorful.
            As dumb as the promo ads samsung used to make for A series.

            Both should be equal, like mark 2. Only different size and screens.

              I hope they didn't remove the telephoto, i was hoping to get this one because the IV have some overheating issues, it's a shame anyway ultrawide or telephoto it's a downgrade
