        That phone wont cost that much by the way is chinese price so including typical EU VAT it will be around 900 not 2000.
        Just like with Moto Edge 40 pro.
        China price 460 same phone in EZU from my carrier i got for 789 euros.
        And is equally good or even better than Said S23 which costed much more when released.
        Even oneplus 11 dont cost that much and that is better flagship than Samsung.

                Update: Asus responded again that the report is heartbreaking so they won't discontinue the Zenfone.

                  Ouifuf, 29 Aug 2023Yes it isn't selling well. As I said in other comments... more2 generations vs 1 and each of those generations of the mini sold much better than the Plus. I still see much more 12 minis than 14 Plus models.

                  The mini wasn't only small btw, it was the cheapest new iPhone with a notch, which gave people more choices, whereas the Plus is basically a decoy, if one thinks it's too expensive they will just get the regular 14, or they will think it's so expensive, they might as well spend even more and get the much better 14 Pro Max. The couple of 14 Plus models, that they do end up selling, well that's still good because there is insane profit on them.

                      Financionally it definitely doesn't. The mini didn't sell well, but the sales weren't terrible as I said in my other comment, whereas with the 14 Plus the sales are terrible.

                      The mini has a market, the Plus doesn't.

                      Yeah, most people absolutely want a big phone, mine has a 7 inch display for example, but most people also don't like to get obviously ripped off, and that's why the 14 Plus isn't selling well.

                                    1. no one is buying small phones
                                    2. ASUS electronic products have garbage quality. I just sent in a 2022 ROG G14 laptop that have a total use time less a month for warranty repair because it would crash at high load. That's a $1600 laptop that crash on high load

                                      I been expecting similar news also from Nokia smartphones, as they too have not been successful in terms of count of devices sold

                                      ASUS, still been praised, their mid-ranger Zenfone Max series been selling better and should have been focused more & continued, in my opinion
