This is an improvement to their other phones. Year after year they kept downgrading their phone lineup, now at least they're finally back to the specs of the TCL 10 5G.

The NXTPAPER technology is not only software or just a screen protector stick on the screen when you check the reviews of previous tablet. Also it's not comparable with the standard eye care mode that turn the colors 5o yellow...

This phone looks very slim and has a high appearance value. I wonder if the camera is good and if the price is expensive or not?

This TCL NXTPAPER is definitely amazing. I used it for a while and it really surprised me. It can adapt the screen color temperature to match the environment so that my eyes don't feel hurt. It is also largely different from a normal cell phone and it gives me much longer view time without having my eyes feel tired. It's writing capability allow me to work even when I am on a bus when there is emergency needs. Definitely worth trying!!

For someone who is addicted to juggling phones, the Full-color Electronic Paper Display feature of this phone is really too much for my taste! It doesn't strain my eyes at all when reading and watching videos. Also, The 32MP front camera is amazing to me, I love how much better it looks than my previous iPhone selfies.TCL's advanced low-light photograph feature is also very good, I went out on a trip a while ago with just this phone and the night time photos were as good as my DSLR.

TCL is just showcasing the tech for other mainstream companies to place order. That is the reason they do not provide any software update(s).

Their gen 1 Nxtpaper didn't have any backlight but that I believe did not reach mass market that was something exclusive to them
As for this maybe the whole paper like stylus experience sets it apart
I know there are screen protectors that help artists draw on touchscreens just like paper
So if this phone can achieve the same claim then I'd say it's not a "scam"
But that may not be varified by tech sites like gsmarena because changes are
They won't review it
Or even if they do review it there standard review process is so formulaic there is no room to test this unique parameters

I have used TCL phones they are ok, the fundamental problem lies in there no existent updates, take the 20R I liked the phone but it came with android 11 and I never got any updates at all what you get OTB is what your stuck with as with the security updates.
To read they are going to give at least one OS upgrade to these phones leaves a bitter taste in my mouth what about all the poor other people that own TCL phones and our buying their current portfolio of phones that are not receiving this service.
For a company of TCL's size to not have a the same level as service as other players makes me feel they don't want to be taken seriously and just make throw away phones.
