    I'm sure the hardware will be good but I will not stand for a locked bootloader and be forced to use ad ridden crapware

      They said the king would return to his throne in 2023. They also said a new chip would be released this year. These are two important milestones because it seems they have produced a flagship class phone (even with the limitations) using technology free of US control.

      Politically speaking it sends a chill through the US administration.

      Economically speaking, it sends a chill through the entire US semiconductor industry (through no fault of its own) as Huawei has proven it can get by without its technology.

      Theoretically, Huawei could open up its breakthroughs to all the other Chinese firms on the entity lists and then many of them might free themselves of sanctions.

        It's really up to non-China developer to think if 1.4 billion Chinese in China, and 200 million MAU is worth their effort or not.

        I'm also think that in the future, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo might use Harmony in the China, because Harmony OS is opensource. If this happened, HarmonyOS might have at least 800 million user.

          Kirin, really? Time to buy Huawei again.

                Ok, good phone. But it isn't any Google apps or another apk of Android. If it capable to sideload Google apps and apk of Android apps. It will be nice. Harmony OS Next will be no of Android apps apk sideload. Huawei, Make like Gbox app or Gspace app on China Huawei Appgallery store.
