The comment you responded to said that Xiaomi phones lose performance after a single update, just like Samsung. You then proceeded to compare a flagship phone from a few years ago with a newer budget phone, purely on their SOCs. Which is about the dumbest thing you can do when you consider the quality of the battery, the cooling, the quality of the silicon the SOCs are made on. Plus Samsung are going to spend a lot more time making sure their updates for their FLAGSHIP PHONE will include better optimization, and are just general better quality updates then what Xiaomi is gonna do for a cheapo lite phone.
Think it's best if you stop calling people daft like a 90 year old and start thinking about the other aspects of a phone and their updates before arguing. Thinking shouldn't be hard as you lot make it seem :)

404, 07 Sep 2023Say that to my gf that still leaves her iPhone on iOS 14.Mine still has the iPhone 11, recently updated to iOS 16 (against my advice) and now she's having several issues, mostly lower SoT and higher battery drain.
I'm all for bug fixes when companies do work on that, but software updates are overrated.

Redmi Note 9 was with Helio G85 and 3GB ram or 6GB ram version. Of curse the apps will reload in background when your phone just dont have the performance to hold them open.
You think that you get anything better in the market for that budget price like up to 250 euro ? From brands like Samsung or Motorola ? Going for Real me in the same price range you be also disappointed or the likes of infinix and tecno

The rest is same as not logged in like comments will be sent to moderation or get flood message when you write like up to 10 comments in 10 minutes or so.
I use to have account here like over 5 years ago but i didnt see the point of it when i write a comment and it be still sent to moderation cause there bot catches some word inside a word or there is some specific word the bot dont like and it be sent to moderators

I had own several Xiaomi Phones, BUT my Redmi Note 9 is my last Xiaomi, I won't buy any Xiaomi in the future, on paper Xiaomi gives great hardware for the price, their phones have very good specs for the price tag at least used to be that way, but I can no longer buy a brand when my Redmi note 9 was never usable, Since MIUI12 to MIUI 12.5 and now to MIUI 13 that the phone never, never worked correctly, I can't use gestures on a third launcher, I can't have 2 apps open without it refreshing,I can't move from my text app and back again to my web browser reading page that it immediatelly refreshes the content, and is the same with all the other apps, which is a nightmare when you are doing bank payments and you are confirming some numbers as an example, I can't even change my wallpaper on the lockscreen because of the crappy Xiaomi app that is constantly changing it without my permission and trying to sell me wallpapers, and crappy fonts. I can't use reliable the NFC app for bus tickets because the app always auto close after a few minutes when it's mandatory to stay open while on the trip, and I can get fined if it isn't. Basically I bought a phone that can't be a smart phone! And forget custom ROM's never got one for this phone that wouldn't have serious problems like clicks in the speaker or camera barely working. I could go on but it's too much effort for a brand that does not deserve any! WON'T BUY XIOMI! NEVER AGAIN!!

great! but still somewhat pissed at how they actually rolling out update, like letting indian (read: miui lab rat) getting their os update early, giving them variety of bugs and whatnot, fix it month later and giving said bug-free update to the rest.

Xiaomi make amazing hardware. I just wish they'd focus that much on software too.
