Anonymous, 09 Sep 2023for Geekbench....you said it all...we as developers have al... moreIt's not me, it's media...since Apple A7 they told us Apple was 2 years ahead...
I understand since many how you can build a benchmark to give credits to some hardware.

You've a dev?
Compilation with Arm V9 exists...you should update your compiler.
I think some apps already use it...such as Chrome (the real one, not the one on iOS/iPadOS with Safari's outdated engine on it).
I'm fine with V8, but I didn't spend over 1000€ on my devices.

Nevertheless, more and more apps will have V9 versions in next years...
Apple won't benefits of that...

Like Ray-tracing acceleration...not any word from you on Mac Pro about that...it's reality, overpriced devices, outdated and very difficult to upgrade (Ram, graphic cards...)

Like AV1 hardware decoder...not any word from you about this. Don't tell it doesn't exist, there are many 4k/av1 on Youtube.
My 399€ Oneplus Nord 2 reads AV1 since july 2021
My 37.99 Amazon Fire Stick 4k Max does the same since december 2021.
8299€ Mac Pro has to software decode!

As you spend money on the most expensive devices, everything should be top tier, everything should be ready for next years.

Planned obsolescence...Nothing more
Like on Mac Mini...you won't be able to upgrade your NVME, you're forced to spend extra 230€ for extra 256Go storage (when it should cost 20€), the same with extra Ram over 8Go...in 2 years MacOS will need 12Go and you will have to buy a new one...

A company like Apple, with all the money they earn, shouldn't need 4 years to develop 5g...if they don't want to, why the hell they spend money on Intel's modem?

Nothing to tell about technologies, you're forced to critisize my english...true, you can, that's not my native tongue.

Either way its not just phones Apple wants to increase their 3nm chip orderwith TSMC but their computer lineup as they're fully Apple Silicon design chips now based on ARM Inc architecure.

Its futile to buy a gas car in a country that electric car is a must...to understand what i mean
I dont waste time with people who just discuss these things just to contradict the reality
If you use your mobile just to run benchmarks apps than yes, V9 is useful for you and for you only, bye

According to? Geekbench? The benchmark which tests Android's Arm V9 soc with...Arm V8 instructions set!
Who pay the développement of this free benchmark? I have my Idea!

Apple developpes Ray-tracing in its own way...seems it's a way on which a 8299€ Mac Pro M2 Ultra does 3D professionnal rendering slower than a 2500€ non pro PC...absolutelty fabulous way to do!

If Apple was greedy AND capable, they didn't sign a contract with Qualcomm until 2024.
Unisoc has its own 5G technology...
Apple isn't able to make it's own, crying for help and sign an other contract with Broadcom to help them with 5G (a billions deal in may 2023). 4 years since they bought Intel's Modem division...ridiculous!

            Iphone 14 still use Broadcom's bluetooth/wifi...
Is Wifi 6 on 14 Pro Max a top tier techno when 6E is available and Qualcomm's and Mediatek's soc are Wifi 7 ready?

That's the only way acceptable for Samsung to support the loses from China market because of the USA sanctions.

                - no wifi/bluetooth (using Broadcom's chip).
You won't read this anywhere but it's facts!
V9 is irelevant, see those who already have it
Ray tracing, Apple is going their own route making hardware Ray tracing in the gpu core itself
They have still until 2024 included a legal partnership with QC to do 5g Modems, so why waste money since they are obligated and we know Apple is too greedy to have 2 modems at the same time and lose money
Broadcom's they dont need it since the latest iphone 14 series are using top tier SoC for that and for satellite communication included into that

                          In 2022 :

                          - A14 on iPad Gen 10

It's a way to limit their competitors as they loose their main engineers (for exemple Gerard William III)...
Apple is late on tons of technologies :
