MediaTek develops first 3nm chip using TSMC process technology

MediaTek will launch its 3nm chips based on TSMC’s process technology for smartphones, tablets, intelligent cars and other devices starting H2 2024.

If Dimensity use T... moreUnfortunately that's not the complete picture as the first phone to have the Qualcomm chip is due November this year and secondly the Qualcomm chips are usually more widely used so therefore need more capacity at tsmc to keep up with demand.

        However the Snapdragon gen 4 is already confirmed to be a 3nm chip for 2025 flagships, and there's nothing to say there's no 3nm refresh of the gen 3 planned.

                        It will be after 10/24/2023 when Qualcomm launches / announces Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 this and Dimensity 9300 Soc (date unknown but before year end) will be running in flagship phone.

                        As there is no specifics on eithers clock speed, if, if both had the exact same clock speed, the situation would remain the same DIMENSITY.

                        So quick addition on another post, yes Apple A17 will be 3nm, so what?
                        They won't be running in Android phones

It is better than that hot tensioner and I say this as a former user of a pixel 7 pro, who sold it a week ago, excellent phone but if you live in a hot place, how will you be disappointed?

                              This will probably make the Dimensity 9300+ the fastest mobile chipset. I'm quite happy for them, knowing how MediaTek used to make chipsets like the MT6580 5 years ago and look how they're now
