GSM Arena can't seem to make up its mind when it comes to pricing.
An amazing phone is said to be too expensive at €1000, and the next day the only thing said about a budget phone is that it's "bad" -- the remarkably cheap price of €100 is never considered.

Few phones in the €500 range offer OIS, top notchless screen, compact form factor, full dust and waterproofing, headphone jack, SD card slot, notification light and NFC. Also, 2 day battery life.
On the top end, the 5 series, 1 series and Pro I have the best best cameras in the world and the latest CPU's. Plus they can do 60fps 4K slow mo. Not many phones can do that.
But you must be a photo pro to know how to use them. Which I why the average user doesn't buy them.

Feem, 10 Sep 2023It was removing the telephoto that ruined the whole phone…They have not removed telephoto. It stil DOES have telephoto but now 1 lense can do normal and telephoto because of the new sensor which captures way more light and detail.

But to get the most out of them you MUST know how to use the tools and pro apps. This phone is NOT made for Mr Average user like you.
It's made for photographers and photography enthusiasts. Also music enthusiasts.
Sony don't care about mass sales. They are happy to service thier existing fanbase and attract new Pro customers.

2. Ability to use large batteries in small form factor.
You can prove me wrong easily by showing me those brand with as good as Sony tech in upscaling and those phone with big batteries, less weight and small form factors.

Back in the day their sudden death mother boards had pages lettered with people having the issues not to mention their practically stupid cracking screens that the touch would stop working even there was just a hair on the screen that it just thought was a crack..... and none of the issues existed and the refused to fix the phone.
And on top of that would then just tell people buy parts online and refuse to even service the device for money.

They are way behind the market. With soft updates and photo quality (and too many settings) and that 21:9 ratio...Their sales are also falling down for years and seems that they don't care. You pay mostly the brand otherwise there are many great phones under 1000 USD. The good things about them are the 3.5 jack and the 6.1" display size.

Never made up nonsense to refuse exchanges/repairs like other brands. Dealing with Samsung and LG support is a literal nightmare. Missed calls, not following up on previous requests and me constantly reminding them like it's my job... yeah just embarassing. Not to mentoin how their repair technicians are garbage as well. Samsung literally forgot to bring parts for a repair TWO WEEKS in a row. LG? Told me it's not his responsibility the issue wasn't fixed. Like for real?

Depends on the region. Here in Hong Kong, the 256GB model costs less than the iPhone 14 vanilla model. Considering its cameras and screen is vastly superior, I don't see how people can think it's overpriced? It even comes with free C700N earbuds and SD card expansion. Actually a pretty darn great value IMO.

If you're going to take every factual statement of something they are behind and say its not possible and that it's really the opposite and they lead then you are just a bias fan and I am not the Jack a whisperer.
Their battery optimization is not witch craft or stand out. And they have consistently used smaller than average batteries.
They are even out because others are all getting lazier and if they don't improve some things they won't sell any phones at all.
And sure their tvs are top notch and their displays are nice on phones. But they are not some wizardry of displays that leave others behind. Good? Yes. Some 4k? Yes.
But when a phone is $2500, only 4k sometimes, and using the brightness of a 6 year older flagship something is wrong.

Also it depend on what you looking at display, one of thing Sony is good at is up scalling, trust me nothing come close to Sony when you play Retro Games or run any low quality thing and you expect your display to upscale it. Not just phones even TV. Things like these you won't see reviewers mention but they are really important to some people.
