If the regular 15 has a better cam than the Pro then really the only Pro feature is 120hz. On principle I wouldn't pay $300 for that.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023If apple don't give their vanilla 15 a bump in refresh... morePer previous "analyst" prediction, that will happen for the non-pro variants next year and the Pro variants will have underdisplay face ID so the cutout will only be for the front facing camera but I have my doubts about that. I can definitely see Apple using the current screen discrepancy for 3 more years.

(who knows what the next SE will be like) I don’t know if it was my luck but I prefer not to see any SE anymore, because the first SE I got, which was the first SE to be released, just died one for no reason after six months of regular use. And I saw the battery of the last SE I bought, which is the last SE to be released, weakening by the day.
After eight months of use I noticed the phone lasting less and less on one charge with my usage remaining similar. It would get warm fast. Battery health went down from 95 to 91% in a matter of ten days.
Didn’t ask any questions. Sold it fast while it was still a relatively new model and its condition was like new. Got a decent price for it, added more and got the iPhone 13 a few of months ago.
This whole SE business is a scam. The latest chip in an older shell. Right. The last SE would take some time to connect to WiFi. With the 13 it’s almost instantaneous. Small things like that that users have to find out by themselves.

"Apple will lose revenue from the MFi certification program and, according to Mark Gurman, it is worried that this will form cracks in its walled garden (their users will now have accessories that are also compatible with Android phones)."
That man must be very wise and cunning! 🙂

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023If apple don't give their vanilla 15 a bump in refresh... moreWhile I agree with you, the fact is that most people don't care, and some of those can't even tell the difference. We (tech enthusiasts) are very vocal about it, but we are a tiny minority in the grand scheme of things. Apple's sales numbers speak for themselves, wether that's good or bad.

America freaking out over USB-C, although Apple is trying so hard to sell even the pro max if the periscope camera exclusivity thing is true…

If apple don't give their vanilla 15 a bump in refresh rate along with the dynamic island they are riding their customers so hard and yet again forcing customers to stick with the boring or fork out hundreds more for something different.. time will tell but ain't holding my breath

Going to be a complete meh. The A16 is just an overlocked A15 on 4nm, and it actually inefficient and overheats. Just ask iPhone 14 Pro users with their short lived batteries. The real interesting part is the 3nm A17, so non Pro users will need to wait until next year for the iPhone 16.
