Anonymous, 08 Sep 2023Woow great insane nonsense.
Batteries have resistivity. ... moreEvery phone with super fast charging has their batteries split into 2 separate cells, and no it doesn't degrade the battery any faster than slow charging.
Yes, phones charging very fast do get hot, but only for a very short amount of time, and even then they aren't crazy hot to a point when they'd hurt to the touch. Slow charging also gets phones hot, but then they stay hot for longer.
Phones also get hot naturally, while using them, so the only way to not have your batteries degrade fast is to not use your phone basically.
I have used an iQOO 5 Pro (120W) for almost 3 years and charged it with it's original 120W charger and had no issues, it still lasts a day easily with about 5 hours of SoT. However, never had good experiences with slow charging.
Imporant to note, that a phone with super fast charging, like 120W isn't actually going to charge with 120W for the entire 15-20 minutes that it takes to fully charge up a phone.

Cpt.Power, 08 Sep 2023Man and who told you that missinformation??? Friends or not... moreWoow great insane nonsense.
Batteries have resistivity. More current, more heat. More power, more heat. So battery degrades.ineluctably. many phone batteries nowadays so similar, same tech, same resistance.
Xiaomi cheated a beat using two batteries, that's it. But still pushing 120w into that, not for me. Crazy chinese unsafe stuff, that's about it.
Very basic electronics. Really. Even quantum physics can't change that yet.

Then i honestly agree.
But its not fast chargig which damages the battery but heat.
As long as battery is in constant temperature below 40-50 celsius we can say its safe to use fastcharging.
But even if you have 5V/1A charger which generates 710+ celsius heat to battery you have a major problem.
There been plenty f charts and topics which proved opposite of your claims and there are still people like you who says fast charging is dangerous for phone and battery.
For like 6 weeks rocking Motorola Edge 40 pro wih a 125QW charging in the box.
When i put my phone into the charger with like 20% juice its 100% ready wthin 15 minutes.
Honestly had no issues yet and using only fast charging because i am tired of waiting.
Lastly its just a tip to you buy or borrow a phone with 125+ or even a 200W charging use it for several months use only fast charging and then try to complain.
You have to experience for your self before making wrong assumptions based on unreliable people where someone say something and others will agree even without giving it a try.
Wish you a lovely day Sir.

I've S23+, it's a great phone, but i wish it had the LTPO screen, a lil bit higher screen res, AF in UW cam, same 3x zoom cam of the Ultra (looking at specsheet, lens size differs between those two).

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023yes they can, they simple won't because is cheaper to ... moreEXACTLY!
No one with normal hands uses that toothpick! I've got small hands and prefer smaller phones, but I also prefer a normal pen like the one on their tablets. To pair a behemoth phone like the Ultra with a toothpick is utterly insane. It just takes up valuable space that literally anything else would have been better used for.
Give me a small premium flagship with a single large camera. Keep your gimmick toothpick and telephoto/ultrawide cameras with very small sensors and fake large outer rings.
Is it that hard to make a new 808 Pureview? Just strap a single APSC sensor to the back and leave out the gimmick zoom cameras that are only used to spy on neighbours.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023It is larger cam or pen slot.
Cant have both. You can have both, on 2 different phones.
They could have given the S23 or now S24 Plus versions the same 2k screen and bigger cameras. Instead, they decide to gimp the base and plus variants even more with different SOCs this year, to push us even more towards the behemoth Ultra, with a toothpick I don't use and sharp corners I hate.
No thanks. I'm switching to the iPhone 15 Pro this year. At least Apple still gives us size options while keeping the specs.
