I don't like mediatek also.
Would Xiaomi get right of that poor proximity software based? Because it really annoying to continue ont that I didn't upgrade my phone from RN10 pro because of it + no dedicated SD card nor eSIM and the CPU.

Hopefully they will fix this back and include Snapdragon it 13 pro max 5G as example

hmm, 11 Sep 2023I would rather see them remove the ultrawide and macro cam ... moreFair point on the macro. Tbh any macro, ToF, B&W sensor can just be gone. I personally use the ultrawide for anything that has to do with exaggerating speed or POV shots. So I found it useful back when I had the Samsung S20 (screen broke twice, it was a hand me down that I fixed but the replacement screen died with no damage done). However on my current cheapo phone with the bad really soft ultrawide that I can't record with, I barely use it if at all.

I love how everyone in the comments section are missing the whole point about why people dislike Mediatek in general, let me make it clear for you all:

People don't hate it just because of heat and inefficiency, some of those might have been a thing of the past, but that's not even the beginning of the mediatek hate, that's just your wraped view and limited knowledge of things (because we have the same feeling about exynos as well).

People prefer Snapdragon because the community behind it is so massive that most apps are designed around it (genshin impact wouldn't render the body models properly on an exynos, for example).

That means more custom rom availability, which to some of you might not be important, but considering how 99% of users here like to complain about poor Android support after 2 years, I would say its extremely important to these complainers to have custom rom support, as it is a great way to extend the lifespan of your device, software wise.

Also means more accurate emulation, so if you like playing a lot this is an important point as most native Android games are gacha and full of ads, emulation is your only way out of this mess in regards to Android gaming.

You can't blame people for wanting to get the most out of their devices, and Snapdragon provides the best out of all the 3 major chipset brands, doesn't matter if we get to a point where Mediatek best chipset becomes twice as fast as Snapdragon best chipset, if there's no community behind to support it. All mediatek users do is light browsing and dumb facebook all day so of course you're not going to have performance issues there, but begin doing the things I mentioned above and you'll start having problems, you just haven't gotten to that point, which is why you're oblivious about the glaring issues more power users have.

OLED is slimmer and has less bezel (especially flexible OLED). That's why all cell phones that still use LCDs are thicker and have bigger bezel especially on the bottom.

If Poco X4 GT use OLED screen, for sure the price is not as the same as now.

To me looks cool hope it will come with at least 200 or 300W charging speeds.

The phones most costly thing is it's camera. Just looking the price difference from 12 Pro to 12 Pro+ that pretty much difference is the camera and then the 120W charger while the price difference is around 160 euro

In middle class phones you either go for the performance or you go with the camera as you cant have both. Want both then you need to look for flagships.
Not that the 8100 is so much of as a flagship but it's still on the range os SD 8 gen 1 or close to it

Very bad choice for processor. They could have just used snapdragon 7+ gen 2, or dimensity 8200.

Or Dimensity 8XXX series at least.
