Given this will be around $330 a few months after launch (like the 12 Pro+ is right now) it will be a great deal. This is the first SoC offering decent ARMv9 cores and TSMC 4nm process for the low midrange segment.
Still, hard to justify when the F5 is around $380 and offers unparalleled performance in this segment. But I gladly take the Dimensity 7200 over the 1080, that's an improvement.

should have used Dimensity 8100 which is faster and made on the cheaper 5nm node, yet still extremely efficient.

As I said, Xiaomi put the much better Dimensity 8100 in the €350 and that was 15 months ago. So they should be using at least the dimensity 8100 in this €450 phone

it seems you don't understand the difference between post-processing and processor ... they are not the same thing :
in photography, post-processing is an algorithm and not related to the chipset power ... there are less powerful processor with incredible post processing (remember old google pixels and old xiaomi and samssung devices with better quality than current devices)

Nexus 7 also have lots of bezels that made it large when there is enough space to have like 9inch screen in it

Also Redmi Note series is middle class phone so to hope it have flagship performance is a bit too much wanted
You basically cant hope they have Redmi note series as Xiaomi 12T only year after it's release

This is the last Hurrah to the Dual Core desing. Next gen will be definately Quad Core ones.
And yeah, Small Cores does not exist
