If they start making own chipsets, own cameras and own 5G modems this brand will outrun everybody else like nothing.

    I'd happily go back to Huawei if they can get banking apps, Google pay and android auto back

          It was not um a "short time", SMIC was working on its 7nm node for years and the cores inside the chip are older.

                      It really pissed me off when the USA's hissy fit that Apple was in danger caused my phone to not get any android updates above Android 10, while the US called to provide actuall proof of any wrongdoing by Huawei and instead used their clout to persuade or force other countries to follow suit.

                      And later and independent security research institute tested phones from several Chinese makers and they c couldn't detect Huawei phones sending any data back home, while phones from companies like Xiaomi, who are not banned, were indeed sending data home.

                        Anyone other than USA fanboys would agree the survival of Huawei is a need of the consumers. Huawei giving tough and healthy competition in the market is vital

                          This is good news for consumers, before Huawei got blacklisted, they topped both apple and Samsung in terms of sales and units shipped and were fast becoming a powerhouse, of course the USA couldn’t stomach that.
                          They pushed innovation forward, something both apple and Samsung have forgotten about.
                          The only stumbling block for the masses would be the lack of google services, so there is a lot of work to be done to get around that and convince people to come back, fingers crossed though!

                            Congratulations Huawei 🎉🎊

                              All political issues aside - the engineering talent at Huawei is just amazing and they certainly have vitalized the global development of cameraphone technology a few years back. And not only do they make one of the best camera-modules, their phones work pretty flawlessy and robustly. I have 3-4 year old P30 that still gets regular updates and more often then not the photos I take with it do get lot of praise for their image quality.

                              I don't want to talk politics. Whoever is against whoever - that's their thing. But respect to the engineers where respect is due!

                                Apple and Hauwei are my favorite plus Samsung but same reason I prefer Android phones over iOS devices same I had on Hauwei 😭

                                Hauwei should forgive themselves and plead to follow normal android standard.. Definitely all will be fine
                                Apple ways actually worked for them, but with Hauwei forming an island it won't be easy.

                                See Sony today all because of hardware appearance (though with better functional devices) they are nowhere and they made themselves a No-Go to the competition, I'm pleading with Hauwei to look back and act smart, even if they need to copy for the time been.

                                  In the absence of a Google functioning system Hauwei may MANAGE (a TRY) to pull treats on Apple and Samsung if their pricing goes well. Facts💯

When you buy a game on steam, a movie on amazon/google and they stop working in your country can you watch the movie or play the game? - No! You should really check the terms.
                                    Plus you can still use the equipment but you definitely won't get any future sales or software support. your toaster won't need that but a 100+ million dollar high tech machine might not work without that
