Getting caught failing to deliver what they sell will obviously have dire consequences. The knock-on effect will most likely be a EU wide ban and maybe even thorough tests of all Apple products.

According to the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation, radiation should not exceed 2 W/kg, even though scientific studies have observed effects that are several hundred times lower. For example, researchers at Lund University Hospital reported harmful effects on the brain at 0.02 W/kg, and a study funded by the German Radiation Safety Authority has seen promotion of tumor growth at 0.04 W/kg.

Wait, they didn't test the iPhone 12 when it was released? IPhone 12 users in France should sue their government then, for allowing the "dangerous " iPhone 12 on the market untested for that long.
